In January 2019, we reached out to you with a sec-ond Capital Campaign request to help pay down the remaining debt on our building project to avoid dis-ruptions to our operations and parish mission. We are grateful to the many families that have pledged

to this second Capital Campaign and have continued with their payments even during these difficult financial times. We are very blessed with your continued support. The following is a status update of the second Capital Cam-paign as of December 31, 2020:

· Total families pledging = 247 · Total amount originally pledged by families = $680,610 · Pledge amount adjusted due to moving, financial, or other

reasons = (-$6,350) · Total amount pledged after adjustments = $674,260 · Total amount received to date = $523,956.38 (or 77.7% of

the total pledged amount after adjustments) · Total received from non-pledged families = $46,772.52 · The Finance Council recommended that we set aside one

year of principal and interest payments. These funds have been deposited into a separate savings account, should we need them.

· Funds totaling $409,201.78 were used to pay down the out-standing principal; therefore, reducing the amount of in-terest on the outstanding loan.

· The current outstanding loan amount = $1,639,743.98 God bless,

February is Black History Month. In that spirit, we honor the African-American pioneers of the pro-life movement such as Dr. Mildred Fay Jefferson. She was the first African-American wom-an to graduate from Harvard Medical School and served as the National Right to Life President from 1975-1978.

Dr. Jefferson wrote: "I am at once a physician, a citizen, and a woman, and I am not willing to stand aside and allow this concept of expendable human lives to turn this great land of ours into just another exclusive reservation where on-ly the perfect, the privileged, and the planned have the right to live."

Join Our Prayer Chain Ministry! You may participate in one of the following two ways,

either way greatly benefits the person requesting prayer. Prayer chain via email: Prayers will be compiled by a prayer leader and sent via email to those willing to pray. To submit prayer requests or to join the email prayer chain list, please email Lisa at [email protected].

Prayer chain via phone: A phone call is made to you with prayer requests. Afterward, you will call 1 person to pass the requests along. To submit prayer requests or to join the phone prayer chain list, please call LeAnn LaCroix at 651-462-0221 or Mary Lou at 651-213-1220.

You may also add your own requests so we can pray for you. We only ask that you keep requests confidential and that you use prudence when communicating with others. For any general question relating to our Prayer Chain Ministry, please call Lisa Engstrom at 651-982-2229.

O Mary, You always brighten our path

As a sign of salvation and of hope. We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick,

Who, at the Cross, took part in Jesus’ pain While remaining steadfast in faith.

O loving Mother, You know what we need,

And we are confident you will provide for us As at Cana in Galilee.

Intercede for us with your Son Jesus, The Divine Physician,

For those who have fallen ill, For those who are vulnerable, And for those who have died.

Intercede also for those charged with Protecting the health and safety of others And for those who are tending to the sick

And seeking a cure. Help us, O Mother of Divine Love, To conform to the will of the Father And to do as we are told by Jesus,

Who took upon himself our Sufferings and carried our sorrows, So as to lead us, through the Cross,

To the glory of the Resurrection. Amen.

Under thy protection we seek refuge,

O Holy Mother of God. In our needs, despise not our petitions, But deliver us always from all dangers,

O glorious and blessed Virgin, Amen.

In the Synod process, the Church is taking time to lis-ten to one another, pray, and discuss in order to deter-mine priorities. These steps are important for every household, too, that wants to thrive. The Synod at Home series takes helpful videos, tips and tools for growing in faith, and pairs them with family-friendly activities based on four pillars: Prayer & Sacra-ments, Lifelong Learning, Generosity & Ser-vice, and Traditions & Fun. Individuals, couples and families will find their faith and relationships strength-ened by Synod at Home. Find weekly videos and materials at archspm.org/synod, sign up for emails at archspm.org/synod/updates or access through the Synod app: text APP to 88202, then in the app search for Archdiocesan Syn-od.
