There is ten years of graffiti history

riding on slovenian trains. since only

identification markings, logos and

windows get cleaned off, writers have

gradually learned to avoid them and pay

greater attention to the shape of graffiti to

keep them readable. In cities with tighter

control and immediate buffing of trains,

graffiti soon remain only on photographs

and can rarely be seen on moving trains.

In Ljubljana, the story is different. You can

still run across examples from 2003.

Curiously, once you understand the

railway system, things are no longer so

strained. With time you begin to feel that

writing is not that serious and it almost

seems allowed. Tourists visiting Ljubljana

get the same feeling. Maybe it is because

of this and the relaxed atmosphere that so

many people come from abroad. It could

be said that the entire “underground”

graffiti scene has already visited Ljubljana.
