AVL GUI integration The material management AVL is now directly available in the administration station. The AVL will recognize missing part number information and provide an easy mechanism for populating the AVL data with the appropriate information.

View/edit/create feeder setup filesThe administration station seamlessly provides access to the feeder setup files (kitting lists) that were generated by SIMATIC IT Unicam FX, as well as offer-ing the ability to manually edit and generate them. They are then immedi-ately available for controlling the feeder setup through the material manage-ment and part verification functionality.

View/edit machine setup in eMES clients for component traceabilityThe ability to view, load and unload the currently loaded materials on a station is now accessible in both the adminis-tration station and repair station clients. Previously, the only access to this information was from the part library and feeder library of the material management module.

Schematic management enhancementImported schematic data will now be stored in the SQL Server database. This offers the benefit of using the same schematic for multiple products (when appropriate) without requiring the entire schematic (Electronic Design Interface Format) to be reimported, which may take a long time to translate. It is also possible to associate both PDF files as well as any URL.

Box component repairA new user interface offers a simple method for working with components that have been removed from a box assembly. Defects will be displayed and the opera-tor can perform all standard operations against the defects, including notes, attributes, defects, changes and repair advisor information.
