Medication Take Back DayWednesday, August 16

11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Did you know that prescription

drugs involved in overdoses

are almost all originally

prescribed by a physician?

In the past 10 years prescription drug abuse has

quadrupled, and now results in more deaths than

illicit street drugs. The Northern York County Police

Department will be on-hand on August 16, to take

your prescription medications that are either

expired or no longer needed off your hands safely.

Please bring your unused medications to the center

between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. for disposal with an

officer. This is the safest way to dispose of unused

medications.

Are you near retirement or recently retired and confused about choosing a Medicare plan? Windy Hill will host a Medicare Basic Class on Thursday, August 24 from 6-9 p.m. The free retiree event will be presented by the York County Area Agency on Aging Apprise program. Topics to be covered include:

· Review of Medicare Benefits· Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage

Plan options· Medicare prescription drug coverage and drug

plan finder· Medicare savings programs· Medicare preventative services· Supplemental Insurance Medigap Plans

Registration is required by calling 771-9008.
