“Whatever It Takes” to be United in Christ’s Love: Through our Faith, Our Families, and our

Community is our new motto at Marietta First Baptist Church! This is something you will hear over and over

again as we move forward into what God has planned for us as a body of believers. God has called us to live

like it is written in Psalm 133:1, “How good and pleasant is it when brothers live together in harmony.” As a

church family we must look to God in everything we do and work together for His kingdom.

In the month of June we have seen God do some amazing things! We had an amazing “Game On”

Vacation Bible School where so many people helped in so many ways. On our last night we had a young lady

come to Christ. Vacation Bible School is still a very important ministry. VBS cannot happen unless we do

whatever it takes to reach all ages with the gospel of Jesus Christ. So thank you to everyone who helped make

our VBS a great outreach. Also, thank you to Kim Craig and her team who directed and organized everything.

On another note we have had some great times in our community this past month. We had two

community Ignite outreaches in the month of June. During these outreaches we have been able to reach out to

five businesses each time, have a concentrated prayer time, and continue reaching out to the Dogwood Court

community. We also had a lady come to Christ at one of our outreaches. These are just a few examples of how

God is using us a church.

We must as Henry Blackaby wrote in Experiencing God many years ago, “Watch to see where God is

working and join Him in His work”. I want to thank you as a church family for continuing to do “Whatever It

Takes” to be united in Christ’s love. Please continue to pray for our church as we are transitioning in areas of

ministry. Finally, know that I love you and pray that God will continue to work in your life, your families, and

in our community.

In Christ,

Dr. Brian L. Spearman

NO FAST meeting in July

A special thank you to lots of folks who have worked hard to make our most recent improvement in church safety possible. Due to many efforts we now have a premier video security system. This system allows our church to have greater security at all times and helps manage the manpow-er to be in many places at the same time. Your safety team continues to work hard to provide a safe worship environment at all times. Please do your part by observing parking lanes, closed doors and sign in and sign out procedures. Working together we can all worship together and feel safe in God's House. His Servants, Jimmy & Rhonda

In Set Free we continue to study a great work on Change. Recently we worked on a lesson dealing with "Change is a community project" and it really spoke to each of us. The central point was that God's work of person-al transformation is intended to take place within the community of God's people. I am glad to be a part of a ministry and church where we truly are a community working together! Please continue to pray for and share the news of Set Free with family, friends and co-workers. Many folks all around us continue to hurt and we can share the good news of Change through Jesus Christ. In His Service, Jimmy & Rhonda

As the weather gets hotter please remember our migrant friends as they work long days in the sun. Your gifts of water bottles and health kits really make a difference as we continue to reach out to this community. Please continue to watch for announcements about our outings and come join us on a Sunday afternoon. Thanks for your prayers and support of this minis-try effort. His Servants, Jimmy & Rhonda
