Drop in and meet the wonderful fossil experts from GeoSuffolk and find out more about the amazing fossils unearthed in this area. If you have any of your own fossils bring them along and the experts can help you discover what they are!

Make sure you find time during your visit to Colchester Castle to head to the Castle’s atmospheric Scriptorium and make your own illuminated letter. With metallic inks and bright colours you’ll leave this workshop with a wonderfully decorated copy of your initial.

Enjoy a day of spectacular entertainment as Colchester Castle welcomes a rather magnificent visitor to the Castle Bailey. A huge smoke breathing Black Dragon will be ready to thrill Castle visitors. Find out how a trebuchet works (make sure you duck!) and have some jolly fun with our Jester!
