The Alzira Model is set up
On 1 January 1999, and as part of the firm commitment of the Valencian Generalitat (Regional Government) for the development and implementation of the health concession model, the La Ribera Hospital was established in Alzira (Valencia). It was the first privately run Spanish public hospital.

Public FundingThe system of compensation is based on the Individual
´s financial payment. The Government pays the contract
company a fixed annual amount and it is pre-established by
each of the appointed inhabitants.

public hospital, built on public land and belonging
to a network of public hospitals.
