Fairview Girls’ Golf Team Member Laken MckInney will be heading to Bowling Green to compete in the Kentucky State Golf Tournament two years in a row! On Tuesday Laken played Jessica Elliott of Russell and Haley Webb of Ashland. These young women are up at the top in the ranking for this region. The group teed of on number 16 at Grayson lake around 9:30. It was wet and the fog had finally lifted. After staying neck and neck with her competition,Laken felt comfortable with her final score at a 97. Laken will compete for the state title on October 7th in Bowling Green, Kentucky,

Homecoming week in Westwood went on without a hitch last week! The Westwood Homecoming Parade rolled out record numbers of attendance. As did the Homecoming Game against Greenup County and the Homecoming Dance on Saturday. “The most student involved Homecoming yet! It seemed like everyone was there!” Said Homecoming Chaperone and Fairview Science Teacher Carly Baldwin. Last years parade was cancelled due to the weather.
