WESTCHASE ELEMENTARY PTA NEWSLETTER FEBRUARY 2018, ISSUE 6 OF 9
A message from the President:
Hello Westchase Families,
If you are interested in learning more about
Davidsen and Middle School in general, please join us
for Coffee and Conversation on February 2nd.
If you need Spirit Gear, the PTA will be on campus
during Conference Night and Frames, Folk & Fitness
Night. Please stop by and shop!
As the saying goes, “America Runs on Dunkin”, and the “PTA Runs on Volunteers!” There are many
volunteer opportunities throughout the year. Even if
you only have an hour to spare, we would love you
to share your time and talents with us and help to
support our Wizards! We invite you to join us for
breakfast on March 1st (8am in MPR), and learn how
you can help out and become more involved. We all
have different skills and many things can be done
from home. Come eat, meet some new moms and
be part of making your child’s elementary school
years fun and memorable!
One piece of advice, testing season is fast
approaching, which means parents will not be
allowed on campus. February is a great time to
come in and enjoy lunch with your child.
Thanks for your support – four months to go, wow!
Laura Kohler

Frames, Folk & Fitness Night on February 15
This is a great family fun night at Westchase. Come and see your child’s framed artwork displayed in the MPR. You can purchase the artwork for $25 (cash or check) and all proceeds go towards supporting the Art Department. While you are there, let your kids show off the folk dancing skills they are learning in Music. There will also be fun activities on the covered courts conducted by our wonderful P.E. Coaches.
Box Tops Drive Runs through February 16
Clipping Box Tops is an easy way to earn a lot of money for our school. Simply cut the Box Tops labels off and send them to school in a plastic baggie. Please be sure to include the child’s name, teacher’s name and grade in order to receive credit. The class who brings in the most Box Tops will earn a PIZZA PARTY! Let’s try to surpass the $1,300 we made in the Fall!
Remember to clip Box Tops all year long!
