GENERAL SCHOOL MATTERS

Reporting and Dismissal Time

Reporting time:

12.20 p.m.

1.20 p.m. (Thursdays only)

Dismissal Time:

6.00 p.m.

• For the safety of the child, please do not send

your child to school too early

• Please pick your child up at 6 p.m. punctually

• Please inform the school if you are unable to

pick your child up at the stated dismissal time

Reporting Time

• Pupils are to be in the hall by

12.15 p.m. every day

• Pupils have to read a book while waiting

for assembly to start

Latecoming

• Afternoon assembly will

start at 12.20 p.m.

• Pupils who come after 12.20 p.m. are

considered late

*Frequent latecomers will be referred to the school’s counsellor

Absence from School

• Contact the school if child is absent

from school or unable to attend any

activity such as supplementary or remedial

• Call the General Office. (Tel : 67600178)

• Submit the medical certificate/ parent’s

letter of excuse to the teacher when child

returns

Absence from Formal

Assessments

• There is no make-up paper for all

subjects

• Submit the medical certificate to the

teacher when child returns – Children’s well-being comes first

• Accompany children to perform more

physical activities as a family like

– brisk walking, climbing the stairs instead of

taking the lift, cycling at the park, swimming,

hiking, in-line skating etc.

Definition of Homework

• Homework is any learning activity

that students are expected to

complete outside of school hours

• This includes assignments, projects,

revision of school work, studying for

spelling and tests, and preparation

for discussion due on the next day

Purpose of Homework

• reinforce learning and deepen

understanding of lessons taught

• allow students to regularly practise, and

apply skills and concepts taught

• develop good study skills and habits
