Since our foundation, CBI has partnered with many corporations across the country to provide workplace consulting, design strategies and interior solutions on a large scale. We have vast experience with fast-track, complex corporate workplace projects and have successfully installed more than 470 floors of furniture and have completed more than 6.7 million square feet of projects nationwide.

In many cases, CBI has had to manage various challenges such as expedited schedules, dock limitations and rapid construction timelines which has led us to think outside of the box to find the best project approach to meet client deadlines and expectations. We work with each of our clients to create an installation plan that is unique to each client and meets their specific project challenges. After reviewing these challenges and expectations together, CBI suggests solutions for installation and service even after the project is complete.

It is CBI’s strategic partnership that has helped various corporations establish design and furniture standards in their space, as well as allowed us to complete multi-floor corporate projects successfully and on time for many firms with which we do business.

Today’s WorkplaceThe Generation to Come

Today ‘s workplace is evolving and the changing shape and accelerated pace of the workforce inspires a new way of thinking about workplace design, strategy and furniture.

A recent Knoll white paper, “Generational Preferences: A Glimpse into the Future Office,” describes four new workspace themes becoming more apparent as Generation Y’ers begin to dominate the work force.

1 The office will serve as the setting for an array of social activities and collaborative work experiences, providing, spaces that employees can choose from based on their immediate needs.

2 The purpose of workspace will shift from supporting function to creating experience.

3 In the future, the most effective spaces will support the seamless transition of people moving between individual and group work modes, both between locations and within their primary workspaces.

4 Meetings will become smaller, shorter in length and more casual and meeting spaces will need to reflect this shift.

These changing priorities are driving a fundamental shift in office design, challenging future workplaces to provide a worplace that supports a variety of work-settings while being consistent and engaging.

Embracing TechnologyA Means to Connect & Share Ideas

The rapid advance of technology and its continuous integration into everyday life is creating new opportunities for the use of technology in the workplace. Allowing for more mobile, social and collaborative work, companies today are realizing that technology must be available and easy to use to inspire innovation and productivity within their organizations.

As the X and Y generation flood the workplace, more employees are embracing the need for mobile working conditions. It is not necessary for each employee to be assigned an indivudal workspace. Informal team rooms and collaborative working environments are great investments to promote conversation and shared ideas. When given the choice, the workforce of today is more productive when provided the option to choose their working conditions.

The use of technology has a strong impact on design strategies, workplace planning and even furniture. CBI is able to offer our clients advanced solutions that provide various methods of technology integration such as video-conferencing, smart tables, and embedded televisions to enhance the workplace and inspire creativity and ideas.

Charlotte Center City Partners An Example of Our Creative Services

Charlotte Center City Partners is an organization that implements strategies and actions to drive the economic social and cultural development of Charlotte’s urban center.

They were looking for a partner to help them design a space that reflects their values and mission. CBI partnered with them to provide a workplace solution that sets the standard for new and existing organizations and is an example of a new, progressive workplace.

In order for CBI to propose a solution, we had to observe and understand their function, their needs and concerns and their business challenges. CBI initiated a dialogue with Center City associates to gather information and propose a solution.

CBI’s solution for Charlotte’s future workplace was to create a flexible and interactive space that showcases future urban development, that attracts and retains a competitive market and that demonstrates alternative ways of working.

Using the concept of moving from public to private space, CBI created a workplace that addresses a variety of work types. The end-user has the option to choose where they work depending on the work they are doing that day. Throughout the space there are zones that support hospitality, collaborative open workplace, and private workplace, which in turn promotes growth and integration, dialogue and discussion and innovative thinking.

Your New Business Development Consultant and Project Manager are engaged from the inception of the project through punch completion. The Project Manager will specify your product, develop your project timelines, create your project binders, order your product, track your order, coordinate your installation and ensure all punch-list items are completed in the most expeditious manner.

The New Business Development Consultant will oversee every aspect of the project and remain actively involved throughout. The Sales Consultant has the overall responsibility to ensure 100% client satisfaction.
