We founded ONEHOPE just a few years out of college with one simple idea: doing
good is good business. With only 168 cases of wine, a storage unit, and just enough
naiveté, we called friends and family, knocked on doors, and encouraged others to
join our movement to make the world a better place.
We always dreamed of having hundreds, and then thousands, of teammates join
us in sharing the mission. And that dream is now a reality. We look to grow our
community of cause-driven entrepreneurs, each of them sharing the ONEHOPE
story alongside their own, and uniting around a common mission to bring together a
community that makes the world better through memorable wine and experiences.

STEP 1 Set a Date
Schedule your first tasting event to
maximize your rewards while you’re within
the Fast Start earning period. It’s as easy
as one, two, three: just pick a date and
time, choose a location, and determine the
cause you will support.
Don’t worry about finding the “perfect”
date. Not everyone will be able to attend
your tasting event—and that’s ok! Pick
a date that works best for you and your
family, and start there.
STEP 2 Spread the Word
Once you’ve set your date, create an
invitation and share the good news —
you’re in business! Spread the word
beyond family and friends to maximize
results. Use the WINENOT List (pg. 10)
to brainstorm people you know within

at your event.
Encourage those who can’t attend to order
online using the custom event link (your
Party Link URL). This is also the perfect
opportunity to book a tasting. Encourage
them to host their own event, where they
can mingle while making an impact.
STEP 3 Get Ready
Today’s the day—your first tasting event,
hooray! Keep it casual. Chill the white
and rosé wines, and prep some simple
snacks. We recommend something sweet,
like chocolate, and something savory, like
cheese (mmm, brie).
Make sure to have your catalogs and
order forms ready to go, along with a few
Host Planners (for future event hosts) and
Opportunity Brochures (for those who
may want to join to movement, too!) Also,
review the Event Items Checklist (at right)
to make sure you’re not missing anything.

STEP 4 Wrap it UpCongratulations on a fabulous event!
Tasting events automatically close after
three weeks, so we suggest quickly
closing your events to ensure that all
orders and donations can be made in a
timely manner.

KEY TO SUCCESS #1 :
BOOKING & HOST COACHING
The first Key to Success includes booking events in your preferred setting, such
meaningful relationship and ensures the success of your event.

STEP 1 Brainstorm
Use your WINENOT List (pg. 10) to brainstorm people you know who
would be interested in gathering some friends and family for a wine
tasting or fundraiser event. Include people who:
• Love great wine
• Get together regularly with friends
• Volunteer and give back
• Enjoy entertaining and hosting parties
STEP 2 Warm Up
Turn the names on your list into hosts and prospects by sharing
the ONEHOPE mission. Send a short, sincere email or text to the
people you are warming up. Be straight to the point and let them
know why you're reaching out. Mailing out catalogs with a personal
note is also a great way to warm up someone on your contact list—
and people appreciate receiving items in the mail!
In your email, explain why you're reaching out. Examples include:
• I thought of you because.... (cold lead/general)
• I hope you’re enjoying your wine (event customer follow-up)
• I noticed you’re involved in a charitable cause (fundraising focus)
• I would love to help you fundraise for your child’s school /
mom’s breast cancer walk, etc. (fundraising focus)
• I’d love to do a wine tasting event for you and your
friends (acquaintance)
STEP 3 Follow Up
As the saying goes, the fortune really is in the follow-up! Don’t
rely solely on email or text messages for this part. A phone call or
face-to-face meeting goes a long way and will help you be more
suggest setting aside one hour to call 10 to 20 people on your list.
Feeling nervous about calling, or don’t know what to say? Here are
some tips:
• Stop thinking so hard about it. Be you. Be authentic.
• Write down what you’d like to say, and refer back to it
when needed.

STEP 4 Team Up
They said yes—hooray! Now that you’ve set the date with your
host, it’s time to team up for a great experience. Be sure to work
together with your host to build the guest list, set a fundraising
goal for maximum impact, choose the wines, and get ready for
success. Use the Host Coaching Checklist in the Resource section
at onehopewine.com as your guide.

Start your very own dream team! Share the ONEHOPE mission and your personal story with
others—let them know how you’re making an impact while earning an income. Building a
team is rewarding, fun, and a great way to layer your income as a Cause Entrepreneur.

BE ENTHUSIASTIC!
your excitement and passion for your business, and you
will naturally attract others!
SET GOALS
Use your Fast Start program to set goals and start talking
to everyone! Invite your friends and contacts to become
Cause Entrepreneurs or Preferred Customers. The more
people you sign up as Preferred Customers and sponsor
onto your team, the more income you will earn, and the
more success you will feel.
BE PREPARED
Keep Opportunity Brochures, Host Planners, and catalogs
know when an opportunity to talk about your business will
present itself.
INVITE YOUR HOST TO JOIN
Hosts often make the best Cause Entrepreneurs. If you
coach each host, then you are already training them on
opportunity to every host, you are leaving potential at the
door. Invite your host to join!
LISTEN FOR CUES
Whether at an event, or involved in a one-on-one
interaction, verbal cues will often give you a lead-in to
introduce your business opportunity. For example, anyone
who says, “Oh my gosh, I love making an impact!” could
be a future team member. For this reason, consider
where you’re setting up to check your customers out. Are
you leaving the room where the action is? Get yourself
organized, and stay a while to hear all the conversations.
Your future team members are right there.
GET OUTSIDE OF YOUR OWN NETWORK
Find networking events and any other opportunities to
meet new people. This might mean joining a book club,
getting involved in your kids’ school activities, or joining
other local organizations. The goal is to meet new people!
GET ONLINE
Build your social media strategy and focus on growing
your online presence. Use your personal website,
Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and even
blogging to expand your reach!
BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!
Be brave, believe in yourself, and know that you can do
this! There WILL be people who love your business as
much as you do! After all, YOU said “yes” for a reason!
