Tuscarora Academic Expectations

• Tuscarora has the expectation that ALL STUDENTS succeed.

• At least 90% of students at Tuscarora are expected to take at least one (1) AP course.

• Students are expected to take rigorous and challenging courses.

• Teachers are expected to make learning relevant, fun, and to differentiate instruction so that ALL students reach success.

Diploma Changes

• Students must earn a Board –approved career and technical education credential to graduate with a Standard Diploma.

• Students must successfully complete one virtual course.

• Beginning with 1st

time 9th grade students in the 2016-2017 school year, requirements for the standard and advanced diplomas shall include a requirement to be trained in emergency first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
