students build confidence and learn. Eg. Performance Task, journal writing etc.
Provide students with richer and more holistic feedback to enable meaningful learning.
Semestral assessment only starts at end of P2. Balance use of both summative and formative assessment.

Changes in MTL Curriculum
In response to the changing home language environment, Ministry of Education (MOE) set up the MTL Review Committee in 2010 to examine the teaching, learning and assessment of MTLs.
Development of new MTL curriculum which emphasizes oracy and interaction skills.

Assessment
No Continual Assessments (CAs) and Semestral Assessments (SAs) for P1
P2 is the same as P1 except for SA2 at end of P2.
Bite-sized assessments assessing listening, speaking, reading and writing skills will be conducted.
All dates of the bite-sized assessments will be announced to pupils at least one week in advance.
Pupils will be tested only after the relevant
lessons are taught.
