University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) was established in the year 2003 through UPES Act, 2003 of the State Legislature of Utta-rakhand. With an ambitious vision and unique ap-proach, UPES emerged as an innovative institu-tion offering industry-focused specialized graduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in key areas such as Energy, Infrastructure, Transportation, Information Technology, Design, Planning & Ar-chitecture, Public Policy and Legal studies.

GREYWATER is generated in households or of-fice buildings from streams without fecal contami-nation, i.e. all streams except for the wastewater from toilets. Sources of greywater in-clude, sinks, showers, baths, clothes washing ma-chines or dish washers. As greywater contains few-er pathogens than domestic wastewater, it is gener-ally safer to handle and easier to treat and reuse onsite for toilet flushing, landscape or crop irrigation, and other non-potable uses. This seminar will focused on Greywater treatment technologies, challenges and opportunities. Eminent speakers from industries and reputed institutions will address key issues in the treatment of Greywater from various sources, entrepreneurial opportunities in this domain.
