NB: Please wait under the covered driveway at the front of the church. There will be clear entry and exit signs.

Both Churches can only take 40 registered worshippers

It is essential that you register for each Mass you would like to attend (week day and weekend Masses) through the office on 4284 3000 Mondays to Thursday’s 9:30am to 3pm.

No bookings will be taken after Thursday at 3pm. Please ring if you cannot attend!!!!

All registers will be cleared and you will have to rebook each week. This to be fair and equitable to all who wish to attend Masses.

Monitors will be in attendance at each church to check names of those registered.

Reconciliation, Baptisms and Weddings are by appointment only

Online Sunday Mass: with Fr Patrick inside St Joseph’s Church

The Sunday Morning Mass at St Joseph’s will continue to be uploaded to the parish website

at www.saintjosephsbulli.com for those who can not make it to Mass.

All registered worshippers must wait socially distanced outside the churches in the designated

areas until the doors open. There will be clear entry and exit signs for you to follow.

All worshippers must sanitises as they come into the church and when they leave the church.

No shaking of hands

All worshippers must sit or stand on the allocated markings for social distancing.

All worshippers must leave after Masses and not congregate outside the Church.

Holy Communion must be placed in the hand.

All faithful in the diocese are dispensed from the obligation to physically attend Mass on Sundays

The faithful can continue to keep holy their Sunday by setting aside time for prayer at home, reading the

Scriptures of the day, watching Mass on television or online, and asking God for the graces they would normally receive in Holy Communion (canon 87 §1, canon 1248 §2)

People who feel unwell, who have flu/ respiratory symptoms, elevated body temperatures or who

have been in contact in the previous 14 days with people suspected to have or who have been diagnosed with COVID-19, are not to enter churches or chapels.

Worshippers classified as vulnerable are encouraged not to attend physically.

Church Buildings are not to be open for Private Prayer.

Clergy and parish staff will follow a consistently applied process to ensure a fair and equitable

Pray with Pope Francis for an end to the Pandemic

Pope Francis has asked Catholics to make a special effort to pray the Rosary, Knowing that by doing so they would be united with believers around the world asking for Mary’s intercession in stopping the Coronavirus pandemic. Pope Francis has written two prayers that can be recited at the end of the rosary, prayers “in spiritual union with all of you”.

O Mary, You shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who at the foot of the cross,

were united with Jesus’ suffering, and persevered in your faith. “Protectress of the Roman people”, we know that you will provide so that, as at,

Cana in Galilee, joy and celebration may return after this time of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the will of the Father and to do what Jesus tells us.

For he took upon himself our suffering, and burdened himself with our sorrows to bring us, through the cross, to the joy of the Resurrection.

Amen We fly to your protection, O Holy Mother of God; Do not despise our petitions in our necessities,

but deliver us always from every danger, O Glorious and Blessed Virgin.

We give thanks to God for our Parish communities as we begin to open up our churches for Masses and the Sacraments.

We give thanks to God for the very few deaths in Australia during the Coronavirus, compared to most other countries.

We give thanks to God for the Love He shows us in the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

In this Month of June, the month of the Sacred heart, let us pray for all who have died in our world because of Coronavirus, those who are sick and all the medical teams who have gone their aid. Fr Geoff and I will keep you and your needs in our prayers.

May the Sacred heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary be always loved. Fr Patrick

PATRONAL FEAST OF THE IMMACULATE HEART OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

FIRST READING: A reading from the prophet Jeremiah

Jeremiah said: ‘I hear so many disparaging me, “Terror from every side! Denounce him! Let us denounce him!”

All those who used to be my friends watched for my downfall, “Perhaps he will be seduced into error.

Then we will master him and take our revenge!” But the Lord is at my side, a mighty hero; my opponents will

stumble, mastered, confounded by their failure; everlasting, unforgettable disgrace will be theirs.

But you, Lord of Hosts, you who probe with justice, who scrutinise the loins and heart, let me see the vengeance

you will take on them, for I have committed my cause to you. Sing to the Lord, praise the Lord, for he has

delivered the soul of the needy from the hands of evil men.’

RESPONSORIAL PSALM: Lord, in your great love, answer me.

1. It is for you that I suffer taunts, that shame covers my face,

that I have become a stranger to my brothers, an alien to my own mother's sons.

I burn with zeal for your house and taunts against you fall on me. (R.)

2. This is my prayer to you, my prayer for your favour.

SECOND READING: A reading from the letter of St Paul to the Romans

Sin entered the world through one man, and through sin death, and thus death has spread through the whole

human race because everyone has sinned. Sin existed in the world long before the Law was given. There was no

law and so no one could be accused of the sin of ‘law-breaking’, yet death reigned over all from Adam to Moses,

even though their sin, unlike that of Adam, was not a matter of breaking a law. Adam prefigured the One to

come, but the gift itself considerably outweighed the fall. If it is certain that through one man’s fall so many died,

it is even more certain that divine grace, coming through the one man, Jesus Christ, came to so many as an

abundant free gift

GOSPEL ACCLAMATION: Alleluia, alleluia! The Spirit of Truth will bear witness to me, says the Lord,

and you also will be my witnesses. Alleluia!

GOSPEL: A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew

Jesus instructed the Twelve as follows: ‘Do not be afraid.

For everything that is now covered will be uncovered, and everything now

hidden will be made clear. What I say to you in the dark, tell in the

daylight; what you hear in whispers, proclaim from the house-tops.

‘Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; fear

him rather who can destroy both body and soul in hell. Can you not buy

two sparrows for a penny? And yet not one falls to the ground without

your Father knowing. Why, every hair on your head has been counted.

So there is no need to be afraid; you are worth more than hundreds of

sparrows. ‘So if anyone declares himself for me in the presence of men,

I will declare myself for him in the presence of my Father in heaven.

But the one who disowns me in the presence of men, I will disown in the

presence of my Father in heaven.’

Communion Antiphon: The eyes of all look to you, Lord,

and you give them their food in due season Only in silence can the word of God find a home in us, like it did in Mary,

the woman of the word and inseparably, woman of silence.
