Fast means immediately with us
HEK Service-App
You can expect quick and excellent service with the Business-K(l)asse. That’s why we offer “immediate service”. This means we
answer or process all customer questions on the same day. This includes reimbursement,
approval for home assistance or services during pregnancy. You will receive an answer to any email sent during the
weekdays within two hours, and we will answer your call within a few seconds.
You can easily and securely use the digital services with your smartphone
and tablet. Whether you will give us your certificate of incapacity, an invoice or
birth certificate - simply scan and send the documents to us. You can also request a
certificate of membership with our app. If you are registered, you can use additional
services, for example to see your insurance data or use your personal mailbox. Get

Our physician guide not only shows you which practices are nearby, it also provides detailed information on directions,

Benefits for families &Preventative care
Medical examination for sportsThe medical examination for sports helps you structure an active lifestyle and thereby prevent or reduce health risks. It’s especially useful if you are starting sports again or for the first time or would
like to intensify your workout. We pay a subsidy for a licensed sports physician.
Midwife call serviceYou have the option of scheduling on-call
service with your midwife between the 37th and 42nd week of pregnancy.
That means your trusted midwife will be available to assist you personally and answer questions 24 hours a day and will
be on site during the birth. We’re happy to subsidise this for you.
Additional prenatal testsWe offer a wide range of prenatal
tests for expectant mothers and their babies. We share in the costs for nuchal translusency scans, a triple test and the
toxoplasmosis test.
Prenatal courses for fathers
More and more women participate together with her husband/life partner in
a prenatal course. Fathers insured with us receive a subsidy for participating in a
prenatal course.
Preventative care for children and youth
In addition to standard preventative care screening for children and youth, we
also cover the cost of the U10 and U11 examinations. So there are no gaps in
care, we also reimburse the cost of the J2 examination for youth.
Bonus Kidsplus & Juniorplus
Preventative care is worth starting from childhood. Children and youth who are
insured with us can through preventative care and sports activities.
VaccinationsVaccinations are important for preventing diseases. That’s why we
assume the costs for all recommended vaccinations. We even assume the costs for HPV vaccination for young women over 14 who would
like preventative care against cervical cancer.
Travel vaccinationsWe assume the costs for travel vaccinations and malaria prophylaxis
for private foreign travel so you can enjoy your holiday carefree.
Health check-upWith the health check-up, you will receive comprehensive
preventative medical care beginning at age 35. We also provide support for this check-up regardless of your age.
Manager check-upThe manager check-up includes the most modern diagnostic methods
for particularly extensive preventative care. You can get a reliable assessment of your health status within only one day. You can take advantage of this check-up at selected partners at special rates. In
addition, you will receive a bonus for your preventative care.
Skin cancer screeningYou can take advantage of the skin cancer screening every two years after age 35. Beginning at age 18, you can have a skin cancer check-
up through us including additional reflected light microscopy if necessary.
Breast cancer screeningBreast cancer screening starts with breast palpation tests at the age
of 30 and continues after age 50 with a mammography screening every two years. Under the age of 50, you will already receive a
subsidy from us for a mammography and the ultrasound “sono-check” examination.
Colon cancer screeningBeginning at age 50, you can be examined for colon cancer. If you
would like take advantage of this preventative care before age 50, you will receive a subsidy from us regardless of your age.
TipWe recommend that you purchase
private health insurance for abroad. This will finance any possible additional costs as well as return transportation to Germany. We would be happy to
offer you additional insurance through our cooperation partner.

Online-health coursesYou want to do something for your health and stay flexible? Than use our certificated
online-health course for your individual health target. The costs will reimbursed
after course completion.
Preventative care &Dental health
Dental treatmentTeeth can be expensive. So take advantage of a low-cost offer from our cooperation
partner DENT-NET with over 1,000 participating dentists.
Dental prosthesis free of chargeYou can get high-quality dental prosthetics
without co-payments. The materials are produced according to German quality standards. In addition, you will receive a five-year guarantee for your dental
prosthetics.
ImplantsIf you choose an implant, you will
receive special rates.
Fixed retainersFollowing orthodontic treatment, patients often receive a removable retainer to stabilise the tooth and jaw position.
Fixed retainers offer you or your child an increased level of comfort and stability.
You will receive a subsidy from us for such retainers.
Fissure sealingWe also provide a subsidy beyond the statutory benefits for sealing fissures in the front molars.
General anaesthesia during removal of wisdom teeth
If you would like to have your wisdom teeth removed under general anaesthesia, you will receive a subsidy from us following
treatment.

Treatment in private facilities
Treatment in private facilities is not covered by statutory health insurance
funds. Things are different with HEK. We have concluded healthcare contracts
with private facilities for you, for example for special operations and innovative
treatment methods. You can take advantage of these special benefits
directly with your health card.
The Grönemeyer Institut for microtherapy in Bochum and Berlin is specialised in outpatient and interdisciplinary back
treatment. They treat you with innovative, microtherapeutic and minimally invasive
methods.
The Klinik Fleetinsel Hamburg is a special clinic with orthopaedic specialisation in joint, foot, and spine surgery as well as
sports medicine, and surgical specialisation in general and vascular surgery. They offer exclusive care by specialists and a highly
committed care team.
