Inclusion
• Small group literacy intervention is run within the Inclusion department. Students are identified in a variety of ways including recommendations from primary schools, baseline assessments and referrals from teachers.
• In the near future we also hope to offer computer based literacy interventions after school where we will invite specific students to attend.
• Sessions offer targeted interventions. We aim to assess students’ specific needs and address these. The idea of these interventions is that they are short term and intensive to ensure all students make expected progress. We aim to return students to lessons as soon as they have made the progress needed.
