"The Lord leads with unfailing love and faithfulness." ~ Psalm 25:10 ~ Greetings to you, the faith filled people of St. Donatus, St. Alexius, St. Francis de Sales, Sts. Peter and Paul, Our Lady of the Angels, St. Paul's, Holy Family School, and the Centre for Christ! In the name of the Lord, I offer you greetings and salutations! We are embarking on a new path. We have a chance to take our Area Catholic Community to a new level. No longer are we two clusters of three parishes; we are now called to be six communities of faith with one pastor and two assisting priests. It is for us to work for Jesus together by building up the identity of each parish and furthering the mission of Catholic education and faith formation. To do this, we must not be afraid to come together, to pray together, to learn together, and to serve one another. Like a family, not just a nucleus family under one roof, but like an extended family living under multiple roofs, we have an opportunity to make our Area Catholic Community something special. We are one Body of Christ, we are one in Baptism, one in Faith, and one in the Lord! Though we have six supper tables, altars of God, we have one Eucharist. Though we have six churches, houses of God, we have one umbrella of glory that covers us all. Many of us will miss the fire and enthusiasm of Fr. David. That is a good and beautiful thing. It is a sign of our love for our former pastor and friend. Even though we must move forward, we need to give ourselves time to mourn his goodbye. For my part, Fr. David is a good friend and it was a blessing to collaborate with him these last couple years. Most of you have heard that the priests will be living together in Sauk Centre. Though fears and hurts may arise from this news, be assured Fr. Rick Aubol, Fr. Jeremy Theis, and I are equally your priests. And we will make every effort to be there for you regardless of distance or time of day or night. We are grateful to also have two retired priests and a permanent deacon in our mix. Fr. Joe Korf, Fr. Jim Maderak, and Dcn. Tom McFadden are happy to serve Christ in our parishes. Undoubtedly you all have many hopes, concerns, and questions. I invite you to trust in God's will and to work together with your team of priests. Together may we grow in parish life and overcome any challenges to our Area Catholic Community by following the Lord with "unfailing love and faithfulness." In our Father's hands, :) Fr.
