We have many friends and family who, for one rea-son or another, can not make it to Mass. Some due to illness, some due to lack of trans-portation, some due to a temporary medical situation, and others are just unable leave their home. We miss seeing all of them at Mass.

This week we pray especially for Joe Tribone. Joe lives at 258 Wises Grove Road, New Brighton, PA 15066 Also, if you or someone you know would like a communion visit from a Eucharistic Minister, please call the parish office and we will get you on the schedule.

.We have many good people from all over Beaver County who support our BINGO every Wednes-day. We average over 100 players every week! Our BINGO is the only weekly fundraiser in our church cluster. Having said that, it takes a lot of

helping hands to keep the games running. Maybe you’re are a recent retiree or maybe you’re looking for something to do. Are you willing to give some of your free time to help the church? One night a month? We’d love to have you join us. It helps us pay the bills, but most important it helps our Church continue to spread the GOOD NEWS. Please give Bill 724-843-4954 a call and let him know you’re willing to help!

MARK YOUR CALENDAR Once we give the turkey its’ due, our thoughts will turn to Advent (Sunday, December 1). As we begin to prepare our hearts and homes for Christmas, how about taking a break to join your Church family for breakfast. Come to

the Social Hall on Sunday, Dec. 15th from 8-12. The Stew-ardship Committee will be hosting and Santa & the Mrs will be there to greet all, especially the little ones. Tickets will be sold at the door. See you there!

MARCO FIORANTE IN CONCERT... is a great way to begin your holiday season. He will be performing at Sts Peter and Paul on Dec 14, at 7:00 p.m. with piano/organ accom-paniment by Kenneth Hand, Direc-tor of Music at Saints Peter and Paul. This concert will be featuring many traditional Christmas favorites as well as beloved Italian carols

such as Gesu Bambino and TuScendi dale Stelle. For more information: www.facebook.com/public/Marco-Fiorante.

Congratulations to senior student Dylan Hupp on receiving the Holy Name Society Youth Fellowship Award. He, along with recipients from our grouping, was honored at a breakfast banquet hosted by The Holy Name Society. Dylan serves his Church as a lector and an altar server. His love for his faith shows as he is always willing to help where needed. He sets a fine example for his peers, his younger sister, and all who attend Mass. We’re proud of you! Keep up the good work!

No CCD classes on Sunday, December 1. The staff at Holy Family CCD wishes you and your loved ones a

Happy Thanksgiving Day. We’re thankful for our students and their

families. See you on the 8th!

Dear Parishioners,

This is the Feast of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe. All students of American History know at least the broad outline of the Revolutionary War. In 1776, the Americans decided they no longer wanted to be ruled by a King. Yet, here we are on this Sunday declaring that Jesus is our King. A King has absolute authority over his subjects. A King is to be revered and obeyed. So, if we claim that Je-sus is our King, than His teachings and His Word are not optional suggestions that we can choose to disregard at will. Can we as citizens of a democracy simultaneously have a King? This is always going to be a “reality check” for us. How good am I at obeying our King and Lord Jesus Christ? Of course, we know that these are not contradictory truths. As an American, you can still think of Jesus as my King and my Lord. Why? Because He doesn’t rule by force or by law or by military might. He rules by LOVE. His love for the human race through His birth, life, death and resur-rection proves beyond any shadow of a doubt the depth of His love for us. How can we not love Him and live for Him in return? That is the basis for our obedience and reverence to our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe. On behalf of the Friars and all the staffs of our four Parishes, I want to wish you all a joyous and blessed Thanks-giving Day. Once again the Masses are: 7:30 a.m. at Bea-ver, 8:30 a.m. at New Brighton and 9:00 a.m. at both Rochester and Freedom. The Parish offices are closed both November 28 and 29 for the Holiday. Some may be closing early on Wednesday. As the month moves to its final days, don’t forget to pray for your dead and the souls in Purgatory.

God Bless, Fr. Bob
