All About Mrs. Chahine

My name is Mrs. Chahine. I have been teaching for 16 years. I graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Education. I am a mother of 3 children (11, 18 and 22 years old). Being a mother has helped me understand how kids develop and grow. I understand how busy life can be, but I also recognize the importance of education.

As we work together this year, I hope that you will have me teach your child that education comes first. You can do this by checking the agenda every night, by making sure your child has regular study habits, and reads daily for 20 minutes in the evening. It’s also important that children get enough sleep and make healthy food choices.

My goal is to make sure every child is successful, happy and achieves his or her best.

Daily Schedule8:40 Morning entry

9:55-10:10 Recess

11:30-12:40 Lunch

3:25 Early Dismissal

Weekly Schedule is posted on our class page.

Please have your child fill in the monthly calendar with the day cycle so they know when to dress for gym and when to return library books.

Education is important! Please make sure your child arrives on time so that they do not miss valuable learning experiences.

Portable Life

Students need a water bottle to refill throughout the day as we do not have a sink in the classroom.

It would be great to send hand sanitizer and a box of kleenex.

They also need indoor shoes to keep the floors clean.

Celebrate birthdays

In lieu of treats, I ask that you donate a Book to the classroom library in honor of your child’s birthday or send a loot bag that can be sent home with students.

We want to encourage healthy eating as well as keep our classroom clean.
