An invitation to the men of Good Shepherd – For a number of years a group of men
(young and elderly) have been meeting
every 4th Wednesday of the month to dis-
cuss, among other things, various books,
DVD’s, current articles and many other
interesting items. As a result we have
grown spiritually with a better under-
standing of worldly events as well as items regarding our faith. The program
begins at 7:00 PM and ends at 8:30 PM with fellowship to follow. Please join
us and see if this program might serve your need for this type of growth. If
you have any questions please call Deacon Gene, 262-255-2035.

tions to ―A Common Word Between Us and You.‖ This 2007 document is an historic statement from the world-wide Mus-
lim community calling for interreligious dialogue around shared scrip-

Two scholars of Islam, Dr. Scott Alexander, Associate Professor of Islam
and Director of the Catholic-Muslim Studies program at Catholic Theo-
logical Union in Chicago and Dr. Irfan Omar, Assistant Professor of Is-
lam and World Religions in the Department of Theology at Marquette
University will explore the origins of the document, its significance from
the Catholic and Muslim perspectives and the joys, challenges, and
necessity for dialogue between Muslims and Christians.

kee (5 blocks east of the Islamic Society Center). The program is spon-
sored by the Milwaukee Muslim-Catholic Women’s Dialogue and is free

There are more than 400 different
Christian denominations in the
United States. Who can explain the
one love the one God has for all
people? We need faith-filled,
creative, spirited people to call the
world to unity. How about you?
Eucharistic Bread Bakers Needed! Bread Bakers are so appreciated!
Our bread-baking ministry is in desperate need of more volun-
teers to help bake bread for our Eucharistic celebrations.
This is a wonderful ministry that is done at home 2 – 3 times
per year. It is a perfect ministry for families to do together.
There is a brief training session and scheduling is flexible. If
you are interested, have any questions, or are eager and ready to start this
ministry, please call Shari at the parish office at 255-2035
Happy Mother’s Day!

Dear Good Shepherd parishioners and friends,
After four months as a part of this parish, I have grown very fond of
many of you. However, I must inform you that I will be ending my time
as Director of Youth Ministry on June 30th in order to pursue graduate
studies. In September I will begin working on my Master of Theologi-
cal Studies at Boston College. They have given me a very enticing of-
fer, and I feel called to continue my education. I wish to thank you for
the warm welcome I received here and all the memories I will take with
me. The youth of this parish are wonderful! I have especially enjoyed
visiting St. Ben’s, building bird feeders, praying the Stations of the
Cross, playing games, and preparing for Confirmation with them. The
search for my replacement has already begun, and I am certain many
capable candidates will come forward. I am excited for both my own
future and the future of Good Shepherd, and you will all be kept in my
prayers.
God bless,
Wendy Morrison
