Marshall Manor Christmas Store

It is once again time for items for the Marshall Manor nursing home Christmas store. The residents love this project as they can come into our store and get two or three items to give their family. Please bring anything that's appropriate for this ministry

to the box across from the library marked CHRISTMAS STORE by December 5th. There is a list on this box of appropriate items. Thanks.

THE ALABAMA BAPTIST: CELEBRATING 175 YEARS OF TELLING THE STORY

Our church has a singular opportunity to become a member of The Founder’s Society

of The Alabama Baptist—underwriting the celebration of 175 years of leadership in

Baptist missions journalism. A beautiful pictorial book will recount the story of

Alabama Baptists and highlight our unique role in the founding of the Southern

Baptist Convention. Our church has a goal of $2,000 to help support this significant

milestone in our state’s missions outreach. Brother Joel has additional information

about the project. We need to reach our goal by December 1 in order to help our

church be a founding entity in preserving our Alabama Baptist history. We will also

be able to pre-order copies of this anniversary publication. See our bulletin board in

the hallway for details.

Calendar of Events

A Calendar of Events for the upcoming holiday season is now

available. Copies can be found on the table outside the church

office. The calendar is also posted on the church website.

The jail ministry will be putting together fruit baskets again this year. If you would

like to participate, we will meet Friday, December 16th at 8:00am in the

Fellowship Hall. It should only take about an hour to complete them. If you have

any questions, or would like more information, please contact Kevin Hawk at

256-302-2111 or [email protected].

FBC Goal: $58,000.00

Received: $4,222.27

I want to thank everyone at the church for your prayers and cards and you weekly

information. I read it over and over. I am doing very well right now and I love all

of you and hope to see you all soon. God bless the people at First Baptist Church.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Love to all,

Shirley Leslie
