Welcome to Cardiff Anime & Gaming Con!We come to Wales for the very first time and it's going to be a blast!

We have an awesome lineup of stage events and parties, roleplay and board gaming, video

gaming and more! Of course let's not forget our Anime Chillout Zone which shall show

anime & Asian movies courtesy of MVM Entertainment & Third Window. Expect a wide

range of anime merch, DVDs & more, as well as some of the UK's best artists present. We

will also have top talks on everything from gaming to anime to cosplay and comics!

We continue to be the home of UK Cosplay, with some of the best UK cosplayers guesting

at the event. The convention is filled with several hours of cosplay content from talks,

panels and workshops! Make sure to check out the cosplay chill workshops area upstairs!

We also encourage you to participate in our Sunday cosplay masquerade with the winner

receiving a £100 cash prize!

But let's not forget the Gaming Tournaments! Fame will be assured to each winner as they

go up on the Community Hall of Fame complete with award certificates and a pair of tickets

to the next Cardiff Anime & Gaming Con. Make sure to get your game on and enter our

tournaments now!

The convention theme is Good v Evil, so remember to pick a side; the Devious Devils or

the Angelic Heroes, take part & get points for your clan!

Main Stage Event Signups Take place at the back of the

stage room.

Tournament Signups take place in gaming room.

Printed Conbadge or a t-shirt, are available for collection

at the AL Merchandise table next to the boardgaming

area in the bar until 5pm. After 5pm at the reg-desk.

Stage Event Participation If you're in an stage event,

please report in to the stage room half an hour BEFORE

hand to be briefed/sorted.

Clan Badges Make sure to pick up your free clanbadge

from the registrations desk!

8pm Onward Is 18+ Only for the evening parties.

Convention Zones

Reception/Registrations – This area is where you can ask questions/help at the

registrations desk and check out the clan scoreboard.

Anime Chillout (In the Bar) – Anime Chillout, showing the anime screenings in the side

room courtesy of MVM Films and Third Window. It shall be a great chance to see what's up

and coming and add to your watch list when you get home!

Artists & Dealers – With some of the top UK artists and best merchandise up for grabs!

Cosplay Photography & Chillout – Cosplayers come and chillout, grab a seat and be a part

of the cosplay community. There will be a cosplay repair-kit on hand to fix any cosplay

mishaps. We will also have a photography area.

Stage - Downstairs in the bar will be a variety of talks and parties after 9pm. See the

timetable for more information. Come here to signup for the events including; Cosplay

Masquerade, Talent Show, Dub That Anime and the Cosplay Auction.

Video Gaming – Over forty setups to play from retro to modern run by 8bitplanet – drop in

to play casually. We also will have a dozen tournaments, the winner of each will receive a

pair of tickets to the next Cardiff Anime & Gaming Con or Bristol Anime & Gaming Con.

TCGing – Run by Firestorm Cards, there will be everything from Vanguard, YGO and more

Cosplay & Art Workshops – Take the lift upstairs at reception to access our workshops

room on the 1st floor. We have a variety of free art and cosplay workshops for between 10-

30 participants.

Board Games & RPGs – Run by Cardiff BRAWL ( cardiffbrawl.co.uk ) many board games to

check out and a wide variety of drop-in RPGs to participate in.

Saturday Highlights

Kerri Louise Live, 11am: Coming in straight after her live

performance at the O2 arena singer and performer Kerri- Louise

shall be performing in Wales for the very first time!

Manga/Comics Portfolio Workshop, 2pm – Hosted by Crownroot

who will give advice and pick the best artists to be published in

their upcoming comic this September!

Breaking into Acting with Ian Furey, 2pm: Special Guest Ian

Furey-King shall be giving a talk on how to get into acting. He has

done featured roles in film and TV such as "Being Human", "Da

Vinci's Demons" and "Dr Who” and more.

Talent Show, 4:30pm: Forget X-Factor or The Voice.

AnimeLeague’s Got Talent is where it is at! Can you sing or

dance? Perhaps you have a more unique talent. Whatever it is,

enter and show it off! You could be the next big thing, with previous winners now regular

performers at the convention. The winner gets a £30 prize!

Big Geek Raffle, 5:30pm: Do you feel lucky? We have over a dozen top prizes including a

signed Super Sonico poster by it's Voice Actress Jessica Nigri courtesy of sponsors MVM

Films, tickets to Alcon and other events, and a giant gummibear 1000 times the size of a

standard gummibear! Get 1 ticket for £1 from the registrations desk or 8 tickets for a fiver.

Cosplay Auction, 7pm: A great way to meet new people with proceeds going to the

convention’s charity. All volunteers go up for bid to the audience, the highest bidder of

each Cosplayer winning the company of that Cosplayer for an agreed amount of time and

getting the pleasure and opportunity of meeting new people and acquiring new friends.

Big Geek Quiz, 7.30pm: Who will be the King of the Geeks? Test your geek knowledge in

the big geek quiz. Featuring rounds on both anime, gaming and music as well as some

general knowledge. Get your friends together - the winning team will win a cool £30!

Multiplayer Gaming Party, 8pm onward – two nights of awesome multiplayer gaming

action going on till 10pm on the Saturday and 9pm on the Sunday where you can grab a

drink and play awesome multiplayer games with

your friends!

Parties, 9.30pm-1am: It's party time with our

Gaming Party followed by the Glowstick Rave. We

play all your favourite tunes from Kyary, Perfume

and Psy as well as chiptune and gaming tracks.

Ensue raving and glow sticks!

Sunday Highlights

Emianox Performance, 11am: Emi, formally known online as

Emianox, is a J-Pop singer and dancer from London, coming

straight out of her live performance at the O2 last month! She's

performed at various different conventions in London, Brighton

and now Cardiff!

Geek Mastermind, 12pm: How's your geeky knowledge?

Contestants answer various questions under a time limit in two

rounds - the first on a topic of their choice and the second in

general knowledge. The person with the most points at the end

of the game will be crowned the winner who shall be awarded a

pair of tickets to the next event!

Iron Artist, 3pmIron Artist, 3pm: Hosted by Crownroot, a drawing contest to find: Hosted by Crownroot, a drawing contest to find

our best artist! Each round, a theme or phrase is given and the artists interpret it within a

time limit. The pictures are judged and one person progresses. Then another round starts

with a new theme till we have a winner!

Cosplay Masquerade, 3pm: Enter our cosplay contest for fun and showcase your beautiful

creations for a chance to win our grand prize of £100!

Plushie Making Workshop, 4pm: A chance to make your own plushie to take home with

you. Ooo!

DC v Marvel Comics Debate, 5:30pm: Come join in the big debate – DC v Marvel, we re-

enter the age old debate right now involving all the audience.

Dub That Anime, 6pm: The aim of this event for those who

have never seen it before is to dub a 30 second clip of our

choice live on stage. The funnier the better. In fact..think

Abridging! This can be done as an individual or group.

Prizes from the goodie box for the winning team!

Clan Battle Showdown, 7pm: You have been earning points

for your chosen clan all weekend. With over 300 points up

for grabs in this event, this showdown is the decider in who

will emerge victorious! Come along and help them win the

war!

RockOut Party, 10pm: It's the final party of the con, make

sure not to miss this as we break out the glowsticks, play all

your favourite tunes and see off the event in style!

The Clan Battle

When you enter CAGC, you pick a free conbadge to wear signifying which clan you're in (ask

for one at the registrations desk). You can then earn points for them over the convention to

help them towards victory! Points are calculated by who wins events, who helps & so forth!

Clan Points & The Scoring System

You can earn points for your clan by (a) winning a tournament or event, (b) staffing for the

event or (c) special events. When you win an event or tournament, you will be handed

stickers with points on them. You take these stickers and stick them on to the clan of your

choice's tally chart at registrations. You can also go here to see which clan is winning.

- Small events such as TCG tournaments give 15 points to 1st, 10 points to 2nd and 5 points

to 3rd.

- Medium events which are on stage such as Dub That Anime and the big VG tournaments

give 30 points to 1st, 20 points to 2nd and 10 points to 3rd.

- Large events such as the Cosplay Masquerade, Big Geek Quiz, Talent Show and so forth

give 45 points to 1st, 30 points to 2nd and 15 points to 3rd.

- Every crew member who crews all their days (and turns up on time in the morning!) gets

10 points per day.

- The Clan Battle event on the Sunday awards a massive bonus of 300 points to the winner

of it and 150 points to 2nd place. Make sure not to miss this, it could make a big difference!
