Welcome to Cardiff Anime & Gaming Con!Cardiff Anime & Gaming Con returns this 2018 – now taking place twice a year in Februaryand august – even bigger than before and with far too much content to even list! We havenearly 80 stalls of merchandise and art, an awesome lineup of stage events, panels on the2nd stage, parties, roleplay/board gaming, video gaming and MUCH more! Of course let'snot forget our Anime Chillout Area which shall show anime & Asian movies courtesy ofMVM Entertainment & Crunchyroll. We will also have top talks on everything from gamingto anime to cosplay and comics!

We continue to be the home of UK Cosplay, with many of the best UK cosplayers guestingat the event. The convention is filled with several hours of cosplay content from talks,panels and workshops! Make sure to check out the cosplay and arts talks area! We alsoencourage you to participate in our Sunday cosplay masquerade with the winner receivinga £100 cash prize and extra prizes donated by xCoser! All those who come in the top threewill also qualify for the UK Cosplay Championship Finals taking place at London Anime &Gaming Con.

Finally make sure to check out the Gaming Tournaments bought to you in partnership withTalk and Surf! With a £100 cash prize for the League of Legends tournament, and a dozenother tournaments with prizes up for grabs, make sure not to miss out there!Make sure to pick a clan! Ground Floor – Trader Zones

- Reception/Registration – Located first to your left when you come in, this area is whereyou can ask questions/help at the registrations desk and check out the clan scoreboard.- Dealers & Artists - With some awesome merchandise up for grabs everything from mangato gaming to comics, geeky stuff and more! Almost 80 tables of goodies to check out!

First Floor – Stage & Party Zones

- Main Stage – From 11am through to late, there is a variety of talks & events as well asparties after 9pm. See timetable for more information. Come to the table next to stage tosignup for the events including; Cosplay Masquerade, Talent Show and the Cosplay Auction.

Second Floor – Activity Zones- Cosplay Zone – Cosplayers come and chillout, grab a seat and be a part of the cosplaycommunity. There is a cosplay photography area as well as a repair station.- Talks & Workshops – We have a variety of free cosplay/art talks, panels and workshops.Topics vary from cosplay to art to crafts and performance.- TCGing, Board Games & RPGs – Run by Cardiff BRAWL - many board games to check outand a wide variety of drop-in RPGs to participate in and TCG tournaments to enter!- Anime Watching Room – Come Chillout and watch the latest anime screenings courtesyof MVM Films and Crunchyroll. A great chance to add to your watch list!

Third Floor - Video Gaming ZonesSet on the entire Third Floor. Almost a dozen tournaments with great prizes up for grabs!

Retro to Modern Consoles Come drop in and play at any time. Wehave over 50 consoles from the 80s rightthrough to modern day and 100s ofgames to check out. A great way torelax, kick back and have some fun withyour friends!

Saturday Tournaments Featuring the £100 prize winning

Overwatch headline tournament(Talk and Surf). There will also beother tournaments includingLeague of Legends, Smash 4 2v2,Tekken 7, Mario Kart 8 and

Dragonball Fighter Z. Winners will get a pair of full tickets each to the next CardiffAnime and Gaming Con worth £18 each.

Sunday Tournaments Sunday will likewise be a big day, with a £100 prize up for grabs for League of

Legends (Talk and Surf). Other tournaments also include Smash4 1v1, Street FighterV, FIFA 18, Rocket League, Call of Duty WW2. with winners getting a pair of fulltickets each to the next Cardiff Anime and Gaming Con or Bristol worth £18 each.

ChallengesFor the first time we will be running challenges across the weekend! For the more casualgamer, challenges allow you to pick up and play at anytime – the objective being to beatthe fastest time, the highest score etc. Challenges include; Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy,Sonic Mania, Mario Kart, DDR and Red Faction Guerilla. Ask VG staff for full information!Sign-Up Information- Sign-ups take place at the sign-ups desk in the Main Video Gaming Room next to theentrance. We prefer you to bring yourown controller - we will provide if notbut can't guarantee quality- All sign-ups open at 11am for everytournament at the start of each dayand close at 12:30pm for earlytournaments and at 4:30pm for latetournaments.

Saturday Highlights!Lightsabre Combat Academy Q&A, 11am - LudoSportare the only international Academy for competitiveLightsabre combat. Come along and learn how to getinvolved!

Exposure Wrestling Q&A, 2pm - Exposure WrestlingEntertainment is one of the biggest wrestlingpromotions across Wales. They will be bringing alongsome top talent for a Q&A!

Cosplay & Arts Talks - Throughout the event you can gethands on and learn new skills to improve your craft fromsome of the UK’s best cosplayers. This includesCosplaying on a Budget, Manga/Arts Portfolio checking,Beginners Guide to Cosplay, Plushie Making, CostumeSewing and more!

Cosplay Blind Date, 2pm – We will be picking volunteers from the audience to participatein Cosplay Blind Date! We match make on stage your favourite characters – tune in for alotta laughs and maybe even some love!

Cosplay Auction, 4pm - A great way to meet new people with proceeds going to EpilepsyAction. All volunteers go up for bid to the audience, the highest bidder of each Cosplayerwinning the company of that Cosplayer for an agreed amount of time and getting thepleasure and opportunity of making new friends!

Big Geek Quiz, 4.30pm - Who will be the King of the Geeks? Test your geek knowledge inthe big geek quiz. Featuring rounds on anime, gaming and music as well as some generalknowledge. Get your friends together - the winning team will win £50!

Plushie Making Workshop, 5pm - A chance tomake your own plushie to take home with you.There will be a variety of designs to choose from Dnotrunwithpixels, 6pm - DNRWP is half anarchy/ half drum'n'bass band. It features chiptunevideo game inspired music written for andperformed on Nintendo Game Boys.

Parties, 9pm-End - It's party time with the BigGeek Party! We play your favourite tunes fromKyary, Perfume and Psy as well as moremainstream songs.

Sunday HighlightsLip-Sync Battle, 1pm – Come join the lip-syncbattle and show us your moves to your favouritesongs on stage. A pick from the goodie box forthe winner/s

A Beginners Guide to Anime, 1pm – Weshowcase 10 anime you should check out and gothrough everything you should know if you'rejust getting into anime!

Big Geek Adventure w/ Jollyboat, 2pm - Whereanything and everything can happen! Aninteractive roleplay where YOU the audiencehelp decide what happens to our characters.Hosted by the wonderful folk at Jollyboat, so

guaranteed to be full of laughs and fun! Make sure to catch their performance at 5pm too!

Cosplay Masquerade, 3pm - Enter our cosplay contest for fun and showcase your beautifulcreations for a chance to win our grand prize of £100 and to qualify for the CosplayChampionship finals in London!

Talent Show, 4pm - Forget X-Factor or The Voice. AnimeLeague’s Got Talent is where it isat! Can you sing or dance? Perhaps you have amore unique talent. Whatever it is, enter and showit off! You could be the next big thing, with previouswinners now regular performers at the convention.The winner gets a £50 prize!

Clan Battle Showdown, 6pm - You have beenearning points for your chosen clan all weekend.With over 300 points up for grabs in this event, thisshowdown is the decider in who will emergevictorious! Come along and help them win the war!

Karaoke, 7pm-9pm - Karaoke will take place on themain stage for both evenings! So come along andsing to your heart's content!

Glowstick Rave & Farewell Party, 9pm - It's thefinal party of the con, make sure not to miss this aswe break out the glowsticks, play all your favouritetunes and see off the event in style!

The Clan Battle!

When you enter CAGC you pick a free conbadge to wear signifying which clan you're in (askfor one at the registrations desk). You can then earn points for them over the convention tohelp them towards victory! Points are calculated by those who win events, who helps etc!

Clan Points & The Scoring System

You can earn points for your clan by (a) winning a tournament/event, (b) staffing for theevent or (c) special events. When you win an event or tournament, you will be handedstickers with points on them. You take these stickers and stick them on to the clan of yourchoice's tally chart at registrations. You can also go there to see which clan is winning.

- Small events such as TCG tournaments give 15 points to 1st, 10 points to 2nd and 5 pointsto 3rd. - Medium events which are on stage such as Dub That Anime and the big VG tournamentsgive 30 points to 1st, 20 points to 2nd and 10 points to 3rd.- Large events such as the Cosplay Masquerade, Big Geek Quiz, Talent Show and so forthgive 45 points to 1st, 30 points to 2nd and 15 points to 3rd.- Every crew member who crews all their days (and turns up on time in the morning!) gets10 points per day.- The Clan Battle event on the Sunday awards a massive bonus of 300 points to the winnerof it in a high stakes winner takes all battle. Make sure not to miss this, it could make a bigdifference!
