Classroom TourAs I give a classroom tour, you will be working on creating an aerial view classroom map.

In the next few slides we will look at the rules, incentives, CHAMPS, how to earn Dojo Points, consequences, and how to lose Dojo Points
We will also look at some signals

Arrival/Dismissal When you are
lining up your finger must be over your mouth and your hand behind your back.
The voice level in the hallway is always 0.
You quickly put your things away or get them.
Quickly and quietly move to the next class.
Walking in the hallways at all times (no running).
After School Passport: if you are in an after school
program you need a passport. You have 5 minutes to get to your
program, you can NOT leave the building and come back in. You will NOT be allowed back in.
Recess When you are waiting
for me and lined up please line up the 209 way.
Bring your own bottle of water (no juice, soda or energy drinks allowed)
You can bring toys, balls, jump ropes, any items that you will be responsible for, that you will share, and you can use outside

Bathroom Break There are two bathroom breaks in the day. If you don’t go during that time you will NOT
be allowed to go later, unless it is an emergency, or you have a Dr.’s note.
Remember if you drink a lot of water you will have to go to the bathroom a lot of times.
The time for the bathroom is 10:15 and . . 12:30
Emergency bathroom breaks: you get one . . emergency bathroom break a week. . . . You decide when you use it.

Class Dojo Points What are Class Dojo Points?
Points on a website that is synced to my phone, and my ipad. I can award them whenever you are doing great things.
How can I see my points? You and your family can see your points
on the website. It’s like Facebook but for kids and safer.

Attendance If for the entire month we have 96% we can

Absent1. Try NOT to be absent even if you feel
a little bit sick. When you are absent EVERYONE is affected. I will always let you lay in the library if you feel ill.

4. It is YOUR responsibility to ask for what you missed.

You can go to the classroom library for a maximum of an hour.

Cell Phones Cell Phones are NOT allowed in
school. If I see it I will take it, and your parent
will have to come pick it up. If you need to carry one, please give it
to me in the morning and pick it up after school, or after class.

Homework1. Make sure you have a complete title (Full name,

2. If you have questions CALL/TEXT and ASK someone.
3. HW will be collected daily/weekly/monthly.
4. Agenda MUST BE signed daily by parents, HW is written in agenda daily.
5. The HW will be pretty much the same from week to week so there will be NO excuses.
6. HW will be posted daily on the classroom website.
Missing homework Must be turned in the next day unless you have

daily. You can also find it on the classroom
website I will be posting a weekly schedule with
some topics you can expect to cover during the week. The schedule section will include extra
quizzes, extra homework for support or practice, and websites for additional tutoring.

My Goals For You To give you the academic and social skills you
need to progress to fifth and sixth grade as well as to score well on the different assessments we will be taking throughout the year
