would be more than happy to arrange a meeting for you to look around our beautiful pub, but here is

some information to get you started…

In the quiet, picturesque village of Darley, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and dating back to the 18th Century, just a few miles from the elegant spa town of Harrogate, The Wellington is at the foot of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, which has some of the most striking and beautiful scenery in the country. With this as the back drop, you can choose to have your wedding in a traditional pole marquee provided by our friends at The English Marquee Company, or in our spacious dining room and glass room overlooking the garden. Our talented kitchen team have put together several menu options for you to choose from. We also boast twelve en-suite bedrooms, so you don’t have far to go once the bar closes! For your convenience we have our talented and trusted photographer and florist. We believe in supporting local businesses so we are proud to work with ‘Paula Beaumont Photography’ who lives (and has her studio) in Darley. Also Louise, at 4 Seasons Florist (formally of Cold Bath Road) who lives in Darley and works from her studio in Knaresborough. The English Marquee Company is a family owned specialist events company based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. They have over 100 years combined experience in the Events and Leisure industry and work closely with their clients, offering classic Marquees and beautiful furniture to create the perfect setting for a timeless celebration.

When sourcing their marquees, the team looked at suppliers from all over the UK. Many were relatively recent entries into the business, but one company stood out above all others in terms of quality with over 100 years’ experience in designing and creating hand crafted Marquees.

Their industry-leading marquees, are made out of a mix of canvas and breathable textured membranes, providing the perfect shade on hot Summer days, with wind resistance of up to 80 mph. With such protection, you can be reassured that your celebration will be fabulous, whatever the weather!

Working with their manufacturer, they have created a range of Marquees which are suitable for any wedding, no matter the style and size of guest list. Each one reflects their joint Heritage as the original English Marquee Company.

Hello! My name’s Louise and I’m the florist behind 4 Seasons. I’ve had my business for 12 years and I have been

creating with flowers for over 20 years.

I work from my studio in Knaresborough and travel all over Yorkshire decorating venues with beautiful blooms for weddings and events. Weddings are my favourite bit about being a florist, there’s something

very special about playing a part in someone’s Big Day.

Hotel Package

Please note we require you to book all 12 of our ensuite bedrooms for the night of your wedding. Prices may vary depending on the time of year (prices up to £115 per room based on double occupancy, including breakfast. Superior double room can be charged up to £150). We leave it to your discretion to charge your guests or to add the charges to your final invoice.

Drinks Packages

Standard £16.50 per person One drink per person on arrival (an alcoholic and non-alcoholic option) Equivalent of one glass of house wine per person with your wedding breakfast (bottles of red and white on the table) One glass of Prosecco for the toast Tap water for the table

Booking and Cancellation policy If you would like to make a provisional booking, we will hold that date for two weeks. After that we will require you to fill in and sign the booking form, and pay a non-refundable deposit of £1500 for Marquee Weddings or £500 for Restaurant Weddings. We ask that we can set up a meeting in person to hand the form in and pay the deposit. This will give us chance to have a chat about some of the details of your day! Three months prior to your wedding we will require an estimate on your numbers and payment of the remaining 50% of the total bill. One month before we will request another meeting to go over the final details and for you to let us know your final numbers of day and evening guests. This is also when we require the remaining balance. In the unlikely event that you need to cancel, our cancelation periods are as follows:

As stated above, the £1500 or £500 deposit upon confirming your booking is non-refundable If you cancel between 30 and 60 days before the wedding 50% of the total bill will be non-refundable If you cancel between 15 and 29 days before the wedding 75% of the total bill will be non-refundable

If you cancel within the 14 days leading up to the wedding 100% of the bill will be non-refundable

Additional Information Last orders at the bar will be 11pm, music will need to finish at 11.30pm for us to close at midnight Breakfast times: Monday – Friday 7.30am - 9am, Saturday, Sunday, Bank Holidays 8am-9.30am Hotel check-in time is 2pm Hotel check-out time is 10am (Bride and Groom 11am) For the Marquee packages the bar will be cash only (cash-back will be available inside the pub at the bar)
