ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL: TODAY through Aug 28, 10:00am, LC-4. “Lasting Truths from Scriptures.” This series is focused on God’s story found in the New Testament. This course is designed simply to highlight five sections of scripture to get a glimpse of His greatness and goodness, and also to be challenged by His love for us through Jesus Christ our Lord. YOUNG ADULTS MINISTRY: Join us for a casual Beach Day on Saturday, Aug. 20th and to watch Zootopia at Movie in the Park on Sept. 9th at 7:15pm. MEN’S FISHING TRIP: The men’s fishing trip was scheduled for this past Saturday. Unfortunately, the boat broke down. It is now rescheduled for Saturday, Aug. 20, 5:30am-5:30pm. LADLE THANKS AND ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY: Thanks to everyone who participated in Ladle Fellowship this past Sunday. We had tremendous turnout and served 197 warm meals, distributed clothing and were able to meet 1 on 1 with each guest to talk and pray. There’s another opportunity to serve the homeless. A church group backed out & Ladle is looking for help on Aug. 21. Meet at the fountain in the courtyard before 12:00pm, or at First Pres. Downtown at 1:00pm. GOLF AND/OR DINNER-AUCTION: If you like to golf, this is for you. If you don’t like to golf, this is for you! Our Mission Partner, Presbyterian Urban Ministries (PUM) will hold its tenth annual Golf4Good fundraiser on Monday, Sept. 26, at Admiral Baker Golf Course/Clubhouse. TOILETRIES, BASEBALL CAPS & SOCKS NEEDED: We are collecting travel size sunscreen, baseball caps, new socks, and men’s pants & shoes to distribute to the La Jolla homeless community. These items can be dropped off at the Reception Desk. Melissa Guccini at [email protected] with any questions.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Later this Summer, we are expanding the Internet Livestream to include all three Sunday services! We will need additional volunteers trained to operate the camera and the slides.
