Retakes
• Retakes will be available on tests and quizzes after corrections are made on the original and the student demonstrates that he/she is ready to take the retake and do better on it than the first time taking the assessment
• Retakes are the students’ responsibility to come and take care of corrections.
Late Homework
• Late homework will be accepted until the end of the given unit. After that all missing assignments will turn into a 0

Common Core Math
• Content remains the same, almost...except 8th grade math...and
Algebra 1 & 2 got harder
• Emphasis on writing, speaking, understanding, and creating (modeling) in
addition to procedures • Modeling: using math to describe things in the world outside of the
classroom walls
• Methodology involves collaborative problem solving as well as individual
work
