After an exciting (?) four-years with the U.S. Army & three combat tours (!) in Iraq, Jason Sliva is relaxing at home with Mom & Dad Beverly & Richard Hagy, brother Aric & sister Sarah, before deciding what to do with the rest of his life. (All those medals meant a job well done!)

Condolences go to the family of Gordon Smith, Lt.Col. (U.S. Army, Ret), who passed away in San Antonio earlier this month. Matthew & Daniel Wright & Damon Swisher enjoyed visiting w/the former POW who landed in Normandy on DDay. Lt Col Smith shared a glass of champagne in a POW camp w/the very German who had shot him after he parachuted in to France! Lt.Col Smith was 94 years young.

Lynn Warren’s FRUIT DUMPLINGS —Fresh apples or peaches, quartered. Mix w/ sugar, cin-namon & lemon juice. —Spread mixture on rolled out Pillsbury Crescent Rolls. (Start at large end). —Melt 3/4 stick butter, 1/4 C brown sugar & cinnamon & pour over rolls. —Lightly drizzle SPRITE over top & sides of rolls. —Bake at 400 deg. 30 mins.
