To discuss and define where are biggest challenges lie when dealing with mental health and wellbeing in both our communities and in ourselves

Agree the type of support, materials, training and resources needed to help community managers and social professionals

● Mental Health needs occur in unexpected places

● Members expect every post to be treated as urgent● The threat of trolls is an ever present challenge

● Do other Community Managers deal with this?● If they do, what actions do they take?● How are we fair but firm?

● What can I do?

Your community

● It feels like you’re always on

● Where does your personal responsibility start and finish?● How do you keep senior stakeholders onside?● How do we cover our community 24/7?● It feels like I’m alone in dealing with this● I feel like I’ve burnt out

● How do I upskill to deal with this better?

You

Remember...

Community Management, whether hobby or

career is a job with boundaries.

It has a start, end and must strike a balance

with the rest of your life.

How we work together to manage our

communities will be the key to dealing with

mental health in online spaces.
