Freo to NW Cape• Start Saturday May 9th 2020
• Rally boats can leave earlier, cruise up the coast, clear out from Geraldton, Carnarvon or Dampier
• Start of winter weather pattern• Cycle of high pressures & cold fronts• Lighter winds towards NW Cape
• Leuwin current up to 2 knots
• Weather routing is typically the rumb line, but sometimes going more west is best
NW Cape to Indonesia• ESE trade winds predominate
• Can be fresh off the Pilbara coast with a high in the bight
• Lighter winds to north
• Off the continental shelf – water depths 3000+ metres
• Well defined shipping routes
• Fishing boats within ~100 miles of coast• No AIS or conventional navigation lights

• Monday May 25 Day 1 Customs Clearance & Leaving Bali• Cruising Boats should not have to clear customs, but as we are
treated as a fleet clearance will be needed from the BenoaHarbour Masters Office & probably Quarantine & Immigration. An FSC representative will be on site at Benoa Harbour to facilitate this.

There are moorings to be picked up, anchor or book a berth at the new Marina Del Ray. A stunning and protected anchorage with several resorts & basic restaurants in the surrounding area. Dinner at a local restaurant will be organised for that night.

bay. Meet ashore for sunset drinks.
• Tuesday June 2 Day 9Stay at Lovina Beach, or move onto Banyu Wedang Bay - Your choice
• Wednesday June 3 Day 10 Banyu Wedang Bay08 08.33 S 114 33.89 E 30 nautical miles from Lovina Beach. A delightful enclosed anchorage, resorts and
restaurants ashore. Anchor in 15-20 m. A dinner will be organised at one of the restaurants for that night.
• Thursday April 4 Day 11 Our Cruise has ended
Boats heading north, east or west leave to destinations of their own choice
Boats heading back to Benoa can do so by reversing our path to north east Bali or head south through the Java Straits.
An anchorage to overnight on the west of Bali in Java is Banyu Biru 008 38.13S 114 27.5 E. his is a delightful anchorage, you need to be very close to the shore to find shallow water & has many fish traps to be avoided
You can clear customs at either Marina Del Ray in Lombok, or Benoa Harbour if returning to Australia directly after our Cruise
