Elementary Return to School Plan 2020-2021
Marshall’s Flexible Remote Learning
● A consistent schedule based on grade: 8:40am -3:20pm M-Th, 8:40am-12:25pm Fri● All teachers will provide:
○ Daily live engagement between students and the teacher○ Video conferencing technology to enable individual, small group, and whole class engagement○ Daily attendance○ Weekly learning objectives with weekly assessments posted in ParentVUE○ Independent work / project-based opportunities
● Students will receive the following services:○ Interventions to address individual learning needs 30 min. daily○ Enrichment opportunities ○ Weekly specials: PE, Art, Music and Social & Emotional Learning (SEL)○ Special education continuum of services based on IEPs○ English Language Services 60 min. daily○ Students will engage in benchmark assessments to determine individual learning needs
Marshall’s Flexible Remote Learning
All students in grades K-5 will engage in daily:
- morning announcements and pledge of allegiance 8:40-8:45am- morning meeting from 8:45- 9:00am - 90 minutes of English Language Arts- 75 minutes of Mathematics- 30 minutes of art, music, PE, and SEL Monday- Thursday weekly- 30 minutes of reading intervention or extension- closing meeting 3:00- 3:20pm

1:1 Technology Initiative Supplies too! We will distribute our carefully crafted grade level supplies along with your iPad in an appropriately socially distanced drive-through setting on Wednesday, August 12th by grade level based on the following schedule:7:45- 9:00 5th grade9:15-10:30 4th grade10:45-12:00 3rd gradeBREAK12:30-1:45 2nd grade2:00- 3:15 1st grade*Kindergarten KDAs and iPad/supply distribution per sign up Aug 12 & 13.

BTSD includes the following 5 items:
• iPad Loan Agreement (4 pgs) plus Signature page (collected)
• Student Technology Responsible Use Agreement (2 pgs) plus Signature page (collected)
• $25 Device Protection Plan fee (cash, check or online) receipt given.
If you pay online, you must know it is NOT a tax credit. Place “iPad Fee” in the memo.

Equity, Inclusion, and SupportServices and Supports in a Flexible Remote Learning Environment
Special Education
● All IEP services will be provided online through video conferencing individually or in small groups
with the special education teacher
● Paraprofessionals will be utilized virtually to support student behavior and engagement for those
students whose IEP indicates the need for that level of support
● Special education interventions and specially designed instruction will be utilized
● We are exploring a model for providing one on one in-person services and assessments for students
who aren’t able to access online services
● A special education parent forum will be set up before school starts to answer questions
Counseling Services: All counseling services will continue through video conferencing. In addition, there will
be small group and classroom supports provided.

English Language Learners
● Small, interactive group instruction provided virtually by an EL Specialist daily● Collaboration between Gen. Ed. teacher and EL Specialist regarding content and students needs● New online curriculum and adaptive apps for student use on 1:1 devices● Virtual Parent FAQ Night to answer questions regarding services
Indian Education
● Native American Academic Advisors and Home School Coordinators will continue to work closely with the school administrator and the counseling department to serve students
● Outreach by remote meetings/communication to rural communities where parents and studentsreside
Meal ServiceBeginning on Monday, August 17, 2020. FUSD will offer school breakfast and lunch for all enrolled students and will be charged according to free, reduced, or full rates depending on student eligibility for the 2020-2021 school year.Meals will be provided from 7:30-9:30am & 10:30am-1:00pm at Cromer, Flagstaff High, Killip, Kinsey, Leupp, SinaguaMiddle, and Thomas.
