Welcome to the Lord’s day worship service at Grace Church.
We are truly blessed to be here this morning as we open God’s Word together, sing His praises,
and enjoy a time of fellowship in His presence.
Be sure to take advantage of the many fellowship and ministry
opportunities available to our church family today and

Forth in Thy Name
Forth in Thy name, O Lord, I go,My daily labor to pursue;Thee, only Thee, resolved to knowIn all I think, or speak, or do.
Each task Thy wisdom hath assigned,O let me cheerfully fulfill; In all my works Thy presence find,Proving Thy good and perfect will.
Forth in Thy name, O Lord, I go,My daily labor to pursue; And every moment watch and pray,And hasten to Thy glorious day!

In addition to raising financial support for the training centers, another important role that the TMAI home office plays is to equip national church leaders as well as American missions pastors with biblical teaching on important issues and trends in missions. Today, there is perhaps no issue of greater importance for the international church than the critical doctrine of biblical inerrancy. Sadly, in recent decades many western seminaries and missions agencies have rapidly drifted to liberalism, and as a result have exported doubt and skepticism about the truthfulness of the Bible. The consequences on missions efforts have been devastating. Well-meaning church leaders around the world have been taught to base their ministries not on the Word of God, but on man-centered strategies.
SHINING A BRIGHT LIGHT ON THE GLORIOUS TRUTH OF GOD’S WORDMark Tatlock • President, The Master’s Academy International
TMAI comprises 18 training centers and seminaries around the world, all established or staffed by TMS graduates and Grace Church missionaries. With more than 2,800 current students and 3,800 graduates, these schools all share a common doctrinal statement (the same one we have here at Grace Church), an emphasis on expository preaching, and a common goal—to help the indigenous church train its own pastors and leaders in biblical integrity. These nationals are trained to biblically shepherd Christ’s church and entrust this ministry to the next generation of faithful men (2 Timothy 2:2). The result is a strengthened indigenous church that is able to reach the local community far better than missionaries could.
Since 1992, Grace Church has sent out graduates of The Master’s Seminary (TMS) as missionaries around the world with the goal of establishing pastoral training centers and seminaries. Today, these servants are scattered across many nations, strengthening the international church by training and equipping those who have been called to preach and lead.
You know many of these missionaries well. You pray for them faithfully, you support them financially, and you fellowship with them when they attend Grace Church. What you may not be familiar with is the ministry that undergirds their training centers by providing financial support and academic accountability—The Master’s Academy International (TMAI).

SHINING A BRIGHT LIGHT ON THE GLORIOUS TRUTH OF GOD’S WORD
In response, TMAI is pleased to host a one-day event in coordination with this year’s Shepherds’ Conference on Inerrancy. Designed to shine a bright light on the glorious truth of God’s Word, the TMAI International Symposium will feature like-minded leaders from around the world who are committed to building God’s church on the firm foundation of the inerrant Word. Church leaders from Africa, Asia, Europe, South America, and the Middle East will show why the doctrine of inerrancy is not just important in America, but is critical to overseas missions efforts and ministry.
Currently, attendees from 50 different nations are registered for the Symposium, and we invite you to join us for this important day. Please pray with me that this event will not only have a profound impact on those who attend, but will contribute to a renewal movement across evangelical missions.
To receive regular updates from TMAI, visit tmai.org.
Register to attend at tmai.org/symposium; registration closes February 6.

Expressing the Compassion of ChristA heart that has experienced the compassion of Christ desires to express His compassion to others. While we care most about relieving eternal suffering, love dictates that we not be indifferent to temporal suffering either. To that end, our church partners with organizations like Children’s Hunger Fund, Open Arms Pregnancy Center, and the San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission. All of these ministries could benefit from capable volunteers from our Grace Church family. For more information, call 818-909-5721 or visit gracechurch.org/local.

Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. —Hebrews 12:1–2
