Please can you ensure that you inform Pre-School if your child is going to be absent for their Pre-
School session. This is a condition of the 2 year
and 3 year funding that we receive for your child. You can leave a message on the school absence line on 02476 316034 option 1 or e-mail Pre-school
directly on [email protected].
National Smile Month
According to Public Health England almost a quarter of 5 year olds have tooth decay with an average 3 or 4 teeth
being affected. Prevention is always better than cure, therefore please encourage and supervise your child/ren to
clean their teeth twice a day and ensure they visit the dentist for a check-up every 6 months even if there are no problems with their teeth. NHS dental care for children under 18 is
free. Children should also limit sugary food intake as we know that sugar harms teeth. You can speak to your Dentist
if you have any concerns about your child's oral health. The opportunity to discuss any health issues relating to your child is always available and the
School Health and Wellbeing Service can be contacted on 03300 245204.or confidentially text ChatHealth Parentline on 07520 619 376.

Oral Health Presentation
As part of National Smile Month, the School Nurses team came into School this week and gave an interesting and informative talk to the children.
Please talk to your child about good oral health and see what they have learnt.
Pre-School currently have a limited availability for children to attend an extra paid-for
session. If you need an extra morning or afternoon
session for just one day, we may be able to help.
Places should be booked at least 24 hours in advance and are subject to availability.
Payment will be required at time of booking. An extra session costs £17 for a 2 year old and £14
for a 3 year old.
Please speak to Pre-School for more information.
We have a new school lunch menu starting from next week.
A paper copy has been sent home with your child this week.
An electronic copy is included at the back of the

Yr1 Trip to Gurdwara Temple
Our Year 1 children visited the Sikh Gurdwara Temple in Coventry this week. This was part of the Religious Education curriculum that we are legally obliged to provide.
The children had a great time and even had a go on the musical instruments!
They got to experience first hand all the things they have been learning about in class over the last few weeks.
Thanks to the Temple and Mrs Episcopo for organising the trip.
Thanks also to Meharvaan’s and Amber’s mummies for helping us make contact.
Governor’s Visit
We will be delighted to welcome our Governors Ann Johnson, George Price and Gwyneth Evans on Friday 22nd May.
They will have lunch with the children and join them in the playground (weather permitting).
