Positive Behaviour For Learning

What a busy first week back at school as we commence our last term of the school

year! Our focus for this week is our school values of Respect, Responsibility and Relationships. We are also revising our classroom rules and expectations.

On Friday afternoon, K-6 will gather in the hall to attend a presentation of our new Blue Tongue Lizard mascot. It will include the announcement of our mascot’s name, the winner of the mascot drawing competition will be revealed and students will have opportunities to learn more about our mascot through a variety of fun learning activities and craft.

To celebrate the launch of our new mascot we are encouraging students to wear a piece of blue clothing on Friday. The canteen will also be selling blue-themed items to eat. Old bee awards will be traded in for our newly designed awards. We are looking forward to introducing and celebrating our Blue Tongue Lizard mascot with everyone!

P & C NEWS

P&C Meeting – THIS FRIDAY 13th October 9.00am Our next P&C meeting is this Friday the 13th October at 9.00am in the Learning Centre. What does Term 4 have in store for us all?? Come along or let us know of any ideas or concerns at [email protected] Did you know? Term 4 usually brings about an event from the P&C called Wipeout, which includes lots of water and lots of fun. Last year we had lots of recommendations for how we could improve this day for our students from you, the school community. We have taken these ideas onboard and have changed the name, some of the activities and added one HUGE extra event!! Oh and did we mention prizes for EVERY student that participates. What is there not to love. So have you saved the date of Friday December 1st?? Notes will be coming home in the next week to let you know all about it. All students should receive these notes so if you don’t please ask your teacher or get one from the office foyer as it is definitely something not to be missed!! Ragtagd The uniform shop is excited to announce that over the next 6 weeks we will be completing a trial with Ragtagd, a young start-up company that helps parents find lost property at school. Finally a way to get on top of that mound of jumpers and jackets! How it works - Whenever your Smart Tagged garment reaches lost property, you will receive an automated SMS (text message) notifying you that it’s there, making retrieval quick and easy. In fact, collection is so simple that 90% of families using RagTagd at other schools get their lost property within a day of receiving an SMS. How parents can take part - Free Smart Tags are available from the uniform shop for you to sew into jackets and jumpers you already own. To make sure you receive notifications, remember to activate your Smart Tag upon collection and RagTagd will do the rest. Upon completing the trial the P&C will decide if this is a viable option for our school. After the trial if we continue the program the tags will need to be purchased at a cost. School Banking New School Banking rewards now available! Welcome to term 4. School Banking starts Friday the 13th of October. Please hand your bank book to your teacher first thing in the morning. Exciting new Term 4 rewards with a Future Savers theme are now available, while stocks last! Pencil + Tech Case Epic Earphones
