Winter Weather
Winter has arrived.
Please make sure your child has a warm coat, hat, gloves and scarf (all named, please) as all children
play outside everyday.
If we do experience adverse weather conditions, you can check for school closures in the following ways:-
Listen to Free Radio (97.0FM) who read out all the school closures in Coventry and Warwickshire.
Check the WCC website www.warwickshire.gov.uk/schoolclosures where you can also sign up for school closures text alerts.
Check our school Schudio App.
Any issues involving gritting public roads and paths need to be reported directly to the Council, these are
not in control of the school. Due to budget constraints, size of vehicles and
time—not all roads will be gritted. For more information visit
www.warwickshire.gov.uk/gritting
Absence Reporting
Pupil's absence should be reported via the school absence telephone line
02476 316034 option 1 or via the Schudio school app. E-mail should not be used as this is not routinely checked first thing in the morning and may result in a telephone call
or text message requesting the reason for absence.
We would like to remind all Reception and Key Stage 1 Parents that they should be
dropping their children off at their own classroom door in the mornings.
We are promoting independence in our children, by encouraging them to come into
school and begin the morning routine on their own.
Parents should not be walking through the school to other classrooms or to the School
Office. This disrupts the classes and also is a Safeguarding issue as parents must be
accompanied whilst in school.

Admissions for
September 2020
If your child is due to start Reception or Year 3 in September 2020, you should have received a letter from
Warwickshire Admissions explaining the application process.
You can apply online www.warwickshire.gov.uk/applyforschool
Deadline for applications is 15th January 2020.
If you have not received your letter, you must contact Warwickshire Admissions as soon as possible on
01926 414 143
2020
We are doing our bit for the environment, and trying to reduce the amount of letters and flyers that we send home with the children. After the
Easter Holiday in April 2020 we shall be posting all our flyers and reminders on our Schudio App only.
Please make sure you have the App on your phone or tablet to keep upto date.
Instructions on how to install the App are included at the back of the Newsletter
