BRIEF & CONCEPT A collaboration with Chris Starkie. We decided to start a weekly Film Night for BAGD students to come and unwind and watch a film. The films have been catorgarized into genres so there is a continious rotation. These are Independant, Cult, Animation and Modern. My role is to design the imagery and Chris to focus on the type and layout.
The deliverables will be a poster to promote the night, a weekly poster to advertise the selected film and a schedule of upcoming films. The style of the weekly posters will have a very minimalist look. This way we can portray the film with an effective piece of imagery and type.

POSTER COLLECTION The poster to promote the Film Night was designed with a purpose of informing the audience so it had to be easy to read and understandable. This was done in a way which would suit every genre of film but still has a modern and contemporary aesthetic.
Each poster to date has been designed to fit with the theme of the film. This has been achieved through the use of simple effective type and a supporting image that emphasises a moment, a scene or a recognizable character from the film.

POSTER IMAGERY The appropriate visual style was carefully considered to portray the films to their best quality. Each piece of imagery was discussed between the both of us before any of it was designed so we could both agree what would work best for the films poster.
The illustrations for each film so far has been chosen because they have certain significance to the plot or characters of the films.

ONLINE COMMUNITY A Facebook group was made for the event to keep invited members up to date with news and information about the films to come. This also helps promote the night to all BAGD students that wants to know more about the film with trailers and the digital posters we have produced.
