The workplace is a highly politicized environment, where key decisions about who
gets ahead and who gets plum assignments, who gets the scarce resources are not
just decided on merit, but politics.
Everyone talks about the glass ceiling and how women need to knock on the glass
ceiling to get ahead. What's really going on is that there is a political power grid
that holds women back, not a glass ceiling, and this power grid is so hidden and
buried that women don't even know it exists. And because they don't know it
exists, they can accidentally step on something and get blindsided.
During this presentation, attendees will learn about the following:
How to identify the power grid in their workplace
How to navigate the power grid and avoid the landmines
How to get ahead and stay ahead in today's workplace.

Getting drugs and medical devices to the market and reimbursed is a major
consideration companies face in today's healthcare market. With the rise in health
care costs, payers have a very strong influence over pharmaceutical and medical
device markets as they demand insight into product cost-effectiveness.Payer
reimbursement for medical products is frequently referred to as"market access" in
healthcare circles, for without such reimbursement, patients do not have ready
access to the therapies. Therefore to succeed, healthcare companies must change
the way they develop and market drugs and devices - making market access
planning an integral part of their organizational strategy. This includes balancing
clinical and economic value in product development and commercialization. The
payer's perspective must be integrated throughout the full process, thus changing
the model for product development.

Where: Cambridge, MA
Learn more and register on the Event Website. Members, $34, non-members $55
Good feedback is hard to come by. Often, people shy away from offering honest,
constructive feedback, because they worry that the relationship will be damaged.
Likewise, people often shy away from asking for feedback, for fear of what they
may hear. If we only have our own perceptions to go on, our blind spots will keep
us from developing to our full potential. And when we withhold important
performance information from others, we keep ourselves comfortable at the cost of
their development.
Come to this interactive workshop lead by Ali Farquhar to learn about why it is
hard to both give and get feedback, and develop some skills that will make it
easier.
