Wyalong Public School “A Top School with a Caring Environment” [email protected] Term 4 Week 6 ‘Proud to be Toppy’ Message from my desk………………. Last Thursday we had the Official Opening of our newly refurbished Tennis Courts. We thank Council representatives Mr Ray Smith, Cr Liz McGlynn, Cr Peter Grellman and Mayor Neil Pokoney for coming along and supporting our School. DEC representative Kerry Downey-Crisp attended on behalf of the Department of Education & Communities. We would like to thank Mrs Janelle Lange for helping Kate Jackson, on behalf of her grandparents Graham & Gloria Duncan, and Mr Smith cut the ribbon to open the courts. Mrs Lange represented the community members who originally raised money to build the courts back in 1991. We had many apologies from past parents and community members who contributed to the initial construction of the courts. Mayor Pokoney then had a hit of tennis with Mrs Connellan and some very excited and willing students. Everyone is someone at Wyalong Public School, opportunities are created here everyday! Toppy Times ARE Great Times!!!! Melissa Blackwood Relieving Principal
