Share your name, how you got to Fellowship Monrovia, and a little about your work and family. This Sunday was Camp Sunday. Do you prefer camping or staying in hotels? Tell us why. Re-read Acts 2:42-47 as a LifeGroup. What sticks out from this passage? We are called to be the Church. Albert shared a story about a father with a limp, whose child started limping when he first learned to walk. The child was modeling his movements after his father’s. As a church, have we modeled ourselves off of broken models from generations past? We are called to lead with a leap, not to just get by with a limp. In Acts 2:42-47, we see the Church is called to three actions: 1. Called to a commitment to diversity. Church is easier if we look alike, talk alike, and vote alike, but reconciliation is worth the work! We must fight to become who we are called to be (Revelation 7:9). 2. Called to a commitment to the tension in the fellowship. We must hold onto both grace and truth at the same time, committed to the tension between compassion and challenge. 3. Called to a commitment to radical generosity. The church is called to sacrifice the potential idol of money in order to freely give to the needs of the community. 1. What have you learned by participating in a Church that is committed to diversity? What are the forces working against our commitment to diversity? Has your LifeGroup participated in a Center for Racial Reconciliation Workshop through Fellowship? 2. How have you received grace and encouragement in the church? How have you been challenged or corrected by truth in the church? Talk about the experience of committing to that tension. 3. The Church is called to live generously. When was a time you received generosity? What was that like? Tell us about a time when you freely gave. Where can you continue to give generously? 4.

In Acts 2:42-47, we see the Church is called to three actions:

What was that

like? Tell us about a time when you freely gave. Where can you continue to give generously? 4.
