Spiritual Communion Prayer when you can’t get to Mass My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things and I desire to receive You into my soul. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

Easter Sunday of the Resurrection of the Lord| Page 3
Easter At Home Christ is Risen, He’s Risen Indeed, Alleluia!!!
I. What a strange time we find ourselves in! Too much sickness, too many deaths worldwide - young and old; too much fear, too much that is unknown. - Suddenly, uncertainty seems everywhere!
- Never in my wildest thoughts (for real) and dreams did I ever think, at least, in my lifetime as a priest of God, for and with God’s people, I’ll be celebrating Easter at a Mass without the presence of God’s Holy and Joy- filled people. But it is the reality for 2020 Easter – with the obvious reason – Covid-19.
II. Nonetheless, challenging times such as these also remind us of what really matters. Our FAITH. Our RELATIONSHIP with GOD and OUR CARE and LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER. - We were not together during the Holy Triduum days physically, but I believe, bound together in Spirit, we prayed together to God and for ourselves. - And on EASTER DAY, even though we may not be together as a community to celebrate this Holy Day, yet THE LORD IS RISEN! Let us rejoice and Be Glad!
III. As you begin your Easter celebration, take time to read one of the Gospel accounts
(Matthew 28:1-10; Mark 16:1-7; Luke 24:1-12 or John 20:1-9) of when the tomb was empty. - The Empty Tomb: This is the center point of human history and it should take on that significance in our lives.
IV. Conclusion: - Because we can worship in all that we do, we celebrate Easter with all we have. - What do we have? No matter the difficulty of crisis, Easter reminds us that GOD always WINS – Indeed He has already won, and no matter the sorrow of Covid-19 around us, we can be filled with Joy.
V. End: “So we fix our eyes NOT on what is seen, but on what is UNSEEN (Eternal Life) since
what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is ETERNAL.” 2 Corinthians 4:18
HAPPY EASTER! ALLELUIA, ALLELUIA, ALLELUIA!!!
Fr. Gus’ Corner From the Diocese of La Crosse:
Confirmations and First Communions have been postponed until the health crisis has passed. At that time instructions will be provided for
scheduling of your particular group.
One Step at a Time is the second in a series regarding “How God Guides Us.” Go to diolc.org/ insert to download this one-page sheet.
All of us have been facing an abrupt change of lifestyle due to the COVID-19 outbreak. This
unprecedented situation has caused a tremendous amount of anxiety. Of course we must take care of ourselves, our families and others we are called to serve with proper food, hydration and sleep. In addition, and just as important, we need to turn to God in prayer. To download a simple Prayer Card for parents and children, go to diolc.org/prayer. For individuals or empty nesters, go to diolc.org/deeper.
New Webpage COVID At Home Resources: A new webpage has been created to provide a wealth of resources for families during this time of quarantine: diolc.org/marriage/at-homefamily-faith-building-resources/ A specific resource is being created with activities & ideas for families.
Relationships are hard work! Communicating and staying connected is vital; balancing the
spiritual, physical, and mental well-being of all aspects of the Church. Thanks to all who are communicating with us through online. We wish to aid you, the parish, and parishioners to connect and deepen your relationship with each other in the end bring each of us closer to the Lord.
A Biblical Walk Through the Mass You are encouraged to join a free Catholic Bible study in the meantime. A great one can be found at https://catholicboard.com/ This can also be downloaded to a smart phone. A great way to strengthen our faith in this time of crisis.
