Touch of Grace
The crochet ministry of Grace Place United Methodist Church, is in need of yarn to create
Christmas items for their gift shop. The items sold in the gift shop support the church and its missions.
The talented ladies of this ministry are ingenious with their creations but are in need of supplies.
Yarn in Christmas colors such as green, red, white, cream, with sparkle or without would be greatly
appreciated.
Donations may be dropped off at Covington First United Methodist Church.
Should you have any questions please contact:
Liz Newman at [email protected] or

Today many people donate toys and bring them to a family as a gift around Christmas. The family receiving these gifts may be struggling to get by but may still be seeking the personal dignity that providing for their family brings.
They want to buy their own Christmas gifts and give them to their family.
The Christmas with Dignity Store provides donors with a personal satisfaction of helping others, provides children with a better Christmas than they might otherwise receive, and restores personal dignity to our customers by allowing
them to buy their own Christmas gifts.
When will the store be open? How does it work?
The store will be open on December 14th, 2019 and be located at 101 W. Court Square in Covington.
Items in the store will be sold for roughly 10% of their full retail value. Customers will be given a shopping pass to
shop at the store. This invitation style approach alleviates the need for screening at the store.

This past weekend, we had an amazing time at our "Everybody Retreat"
at Camp Country Place in Moscow, TN. We had about fifty participants
and what was unique about this event was the ages ranged from
elementary school to senior citizen.
The theme of the weekend was unity, and our central focus was to learn
how to better love each other (and the rest of the world) as a
community, because God first loved us. The weekend's bible verses
were Colossians 3:12-17, and everyone was encouraged to "Come As
You Are" into the presence of God, and into our church's body.
We played games, had amazing worship services, and enjoyed times of
rest and relaxation.
A special thank you to everyone who made the Everybody Retreat
possible. It took many individuals leading and facilitating many
activities and every one of you went above and beyond, and it was
evident in our amazing weekend!
We look forward to next year, and hope to include more of our
community in the next Everybody Retreat!

TRA Annual Day of Service
4th grade students from Tipton Rosemark Academy visited
the Bread of Life Food Pantry during their annual Day of
Service fieldtrip. They collected food for the food pantry,
bagged food and collapsed boxes while learning what the food
pantry does for the community.
