Civil CeremoniesAs an approved venue for civil ceremonies Carlisle Bay Resort would be delighted to host your entire wedding celebration. We can organise a celebrant for your ceremony and will assist you with the legal paperwork particular to Antigua. Choosing the setting for your wedding ceremony will be the most difficult part. Will it be our perfect white sand beach, our private jetty or in the shelter of the palms in Coconut Grove? We can also arrange the most exquisite wedding décor to suit the very personal theme of your wedding ceremony, including floral arches, wedding chairs and lanterns.

BedroomsCarlisle Bay Resort boasts 87 beautifully-appointed suites to suit all configurations of your guests. Of course you can choose to book the entire resort for your wedding or for just the two of you, simply enjoy the luxury and privacy of one of these magnificent rooms. Our suites boast ocean views and have balconies or terraces to enjoy our wonderful Caribbean island setting. Colours are clean and restful while furnishings are discreetly luxurious throughout. Space has not been spared in our suites while every modern convenience has been tastefully blended with a flavour of traditional Caribbean architecture.

Pre and Post Wedding FunctionsA wedding in Carlisle Bay Resort is so much more than just a day. With friends and family around you, take the time to be together and create memories for years to come. We offer pre and post wedding dinners in any of our restaurants and of course our talented chefs can create for you the best Antiguan food for a true Caribbean celebration. Documents required:

• Valid Passports

• Original Divorce Decree or, in the case of a widow or widower, the original marriage

and death certificates

• If there has been a name change please provide affidavits in cases where you are

known by another name

• Both parties must be over 15. If under 18, written authorization from your parents or

guardians is required

All documents presented should be original or certified original by the issuing

departments or offices.

Your marriage must also be solemnized or celebrated in the presence of two or more

witnesses, apart from the Marriage Officer. (just ask a guest or two to do this for you)

Church Ceremonies will require the permission from the church authorities where you

wish to be married. Some churches ask that the couple attend pre-nuptial consultations.

Allow some extra time if planning a church ceremony.

The Ministry of Legal Affairs is open Monday to Thursday, 8:30am to 4:30pm and on

Friday from 8:00am to 3:00pm.

NB. Flights that arrive into Antigua after 3:00pm will not permit couples to get to the

Ministry of Justice in time to apply for the Special Marriage License. In such cases, the

couple can arrange for the marriage to take place either the next day after completing

the application process, or, on any available day thereafter.
