With a plethora of top level international Motorsport championships including the FIA World Touring Car Championship, the action is also taking the premium tyre manufacturer to Rallycross. As a single-spec formula, RX Lites drivers compete in identical 310bhp, all-wheel-drive, rear-engined cars with exciting wheel- to-wheel racing which focuses primarily on the skills and talents of the drivers. The RX Lites 2014 winner will be awarded with a Supercar drive at World RX of Argentina in November, while the second and third placed drivers will have the chance to experience a test day in an OlsbergsMSE Supercar. This season, drivers are coming from Sweden, USA, Turkey, Norway and Colombia and well known favourites including the former Swedish and Russia Rally Champion, Patrik Flodin, as well as the very successful Swedish Touring Car Championship driver, Richard Göransson. YOKOHAMA recently signed a contract to supply tyres to the Super Car Lites class which is a support class to the Super Car class. The Championship also enjoys broadcast coverage and is becoming increasingly popular internationally. The first round of the Championship took place in Portugal earlier this month and the second round will be taking place this weekend, 24/25 th May in England. The Japanese Tyre manufacturer’s involvement and commitment to motorsport continues gathering momentum. With a plethora of top level international Motorsport championships including the FIA World Touring Car Championship, the action is also taking the premium tyre manufacturer to Rallycross.
