NEWSLETTER for the month of Magha 2073 OUR SAY We feel so proud to have brilliant youngsters as our students. The main goal of bringing out this newsletter on monthly basis is to provide to our bright scholars a sort of record of what were the key happenings within the four weeks – with the mention of the reasons or causes of the events and analysis of the results or performances. Significantly, we are now encouraging our students to be a part of this newsletter by offering something (in the form of suggestions, writings, reports etc.). This issue has been able to cover the reports from the students who were parts of our stall at SWSC Science Exhibition. We all know that Education is the sole key to success. By success, we should mean the ability to give back to the society, the community, and the universe in an increased manner of what we have taken/ consumed/digested/wasted. It is education that makes us capable of realizing the truth of our being and the responsibility that lie for each one of us. It is really interesting to acknowledge the fact that to be able to be in a position to give back to all from whom we had taken and will go on taking (as mentioned above), you should be able to create/ produce/earn/ more than what you need for basic survival. There are so many examples around the world of the personalities who have really understood the genuine meaning of 'giving back'. That is where our focus on 'Management study' finds exact relevance. Since last few decades, wisdom of the world has perceived the worth of knowledge of management which only could solve the problem of bringing out maximum result possible from each and every sphere or subject. It could deal efficiently with all the involved resources. Our 'center of attention' is based on the qualitative delivery of authentic management dynamics. NEWSLETTER for the month of Magha 2073

OUR SAY

We feel so proud to have brilliant youngsters as our students.

SARASWATI PUJA OBSERVED

On the auspicious day of Saraswati Puja (2073-10-19/ 1st Feb 2017 Wednesday), the Students, College Management and Faculty of Southwestern Business College came together to seek the blessings of the goddess of knowledge, music, art and culture. The ritual was graced with the presence of Dr. Jayahari Raj Pandey (Campus Chief), Mr. Ashish Kr. Mishra (Vice Campus Chief), the teaching faculties and the students.

Be it any cultural event like Christmas, Saraswati Puja etc. or any other festival of significance in terms of varied culture and traditions, our College has been celebrating them with the same fervor. Believers as well as non-believers all come together under one roof to rejoice on these good occassions. Saraswati Puja is just another attempt by the students and staffs to preserve the Nepalese culture and to impart a sense of respect towards long-established traditions. These celebrations ensure that students find a home away from home. Both the faculty and students joined hands together, with great zeal to make the event a memorable one also evoking the blessing of the goddess of knowledge to have a successful academic and carrier growth. The rituals were conducted by Mr. Ashish Kr. Mishra, who not only performed the Pooja but also enlightened on the concept of worshiping Goddess of knowledge, ending the event by serving Prasad to everyone present.

A DRASTIC OCCURRENCE to ALL OF US

Venue: Southwestern Business College; Date: 2073-10-26/Wednesday; Time: 7:00 am- 7:30 am

Tribute paid by the Management, Teachers, Staffs and BBA students to Late Uttam Silwal (SWBC-Director)

Our Common feelings: We are so sorry for the loss we had to bear. Uttam Sir’s sudden demise has come as a shock to all of us. He was an eminent personality. He was a retired police officer, Chairman of Southwestern School, CEO of Southwestern Cooperative and Director of Southwestern Business College. He also was associated with many organizations where he was very famous among his colleagues. Every time we saw him, we would have long talks about college and its administration. He was so concerned. It's hard to believe that he is no more among us. God has a plan for him, no matter how hard it is for us to see. We are grateful to have known him and he will always be remembered as the sweet, gentle, cooperative, social and great personality. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and with his family at this sad time.

Proceedings: All the participants mourned for two minutes and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.
