It is never too early to help your child(ren) begin creating their career path starting with career awareness. Talk with your child about careers that you observe (ex. on vacation). Talk about the values, personal abilities, skills, interests, and other fascinating information that goes with the jobs that you see. You might want to share about any stereotyping, traditional, nontraditional roles that you discover. Ask them what requirements are necessary for and on that job. It is important for our students to learn how to make decisions, set goals, understand planning, and develop interests.
