skills. PROVIDE INTERVENTION TO STUDENTS THAT ARE WEAK IN LNF, PSF, and NWF.
II. Grading Scale:
The following grading scale will be used to assess your child’s progress in school. Students success in school depends to a large extent on a cooperative relationship between home and school. Parents or guardians are urged to contact the school whenever there is need for information about the students progress or courses offered at MacMillan International Academy.
Key to Initiative and Work Standards
E, S, N, and U is as follows:100% - 90% = E; 89% - 70% = S; 79% - 60% = N; 59% - 0% = U
III. Homework Policy/Missed Work/Make-Up PolicyHomework is checked daily in order to provide immediate feedback and remediation if necessary. Students missing homework assignments will be required to make up the work, as necessary, during study hall. Any late assignment may result in a lower grade. Students who consistently miss homework will not be able to participate in in-school activities. (School Dances, Carnivals/Festivals, and Field Trips) and any late assignments may result in a lower grade. Parents will be notified of excessive incomplete homework assignments. If a student is absent, necessary work will be given for make-up with no penalty for excused absences. If student notifies teacher of an upcoming absence, work may be given in advance.
IV. Communication with ParentsIt is the desire of the teacher to have open communication with parents throughout the school year. Parents will receive the following:Progress reportNine Week report card Telephone calls regarding student behavior or work, when necessary
