SAIT Students’ Association Job Description Job Title: Campus Safewalk Administrator, Student Experience Position Type: Part Time- Hourly (approx. 15 hour per week) Position Term: Sept 2017- April 2018 Job purpose Reporting to the Coordinator, Clubs and Volunteers this position is responsible for the smooth operation of the Campus Safewalk Program. Duties and responsibilities Programming Responsible for recruiting, training and retaining all volunteers for the Safewalk program Organizing training dates for First-Aid and Self-Defense for all volunteers Ensures all Safewalk radios & flashlights are in working order, and there are adequate first-aid supplies Administrative Ensure all volunteers have filled out the necessary paperwork (i.e. background checks and SAITSA Code of Conduct) Responsible for creating weekly schedules for the volunteers and tracking their hours Keeping adequate daily logs of patrols and walks and year end reports Communication Ensuring safe practices and maintain partnerships with the SAIT Community as it pertains to the Campus Safewalk program Other duties as assigned by the Coordinator, Clubs and Volunteers. QualificationsEducation

Current SAIT student.Knowledge, skills and abilities

• Previous leadership experience in a volunteer focused environment or other volunteerism pursuits.

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

• Previous self-defence and up to date First-Aid training considered an asset• Desire to support a safer campus community for students and staff

Proficiency in the use of computers
