1. Warm-Up: Pick up Exit Ticket 19 (not in packet) and copy your homework into your agenda.

Homework: Exit Tickets 18-19-20 (due Wed)

Math 6AR ~ Block 3

2. Test, several people did not do #11 and 12? Why?

3. Go over Exit Tickets 16 and 17; pages 70 and 75

4. Lessons 18-19-20: Finding a Rate by Dividing Two Quantities; Unit Rate, Related Measurement Conversions and Unit Price.Today we will be able to convert measurement units using rates. We will also be comparing rates and ratios to find the best unit rate (simply the value of the ratio). We will also analyze tables, graphs and equations.

· I can make a table to convert measurements using the unit rate.

· I can analyze graphs, tables and equations to the unit rate.

1. Warm-Up: Pick up white packet and copy homework into agenda. Have Module 6.1 Vocab on your desk.

Homework: Exit Tickets 16 and 17; pages 70 and 75

2. Collect warm-up and RAT#1; tests will be handed back Monday

3. Lesson 16 and 17: From Ratios to Rates/From Rates to Ratios.

Today we will be converting ratios to rates and rates to ratios.

•I can solve unit rate problems by converting the denominator or second term to 1 by using the value of the ratio to simplify.

Math 6AR ~ Block 3

•I can identify that the a unit rate is the value of the ratio.

•I can label my rates appropriately. Meters per second (meters/second); (dollars/pound) etc.

Rate – For every 4 packs of diet cola is a rate because it is a ratio of two quantities.

Unit Rate – The unit rate is 2.5 because it is the value of the ratio.
